On the bright side- Suarez and Kuyt link up very well together, It'll be hard to drop Kuyt if he carrys on playing like this
I hope we come out playing the same tempo, so often after a first half of dominance like that, we come out and sit back the second half. If we keep this up, we'll win - we're playing them off the turf brilliantly and their goal was something out of nothing. Onwards and upwards!
bow4fowler ...whos to blame .... wenger of course .. he bought them trianed them coached them and sent them out as 4 strangers in a high tempo game we must win ... gibbs is the big weak link at the mo ... slow in pace from his lay off and doubt he will last the 90 here ... you dont need a goal poacher for this game you need one thing "belief" the belief that you keep running at us we will do a moses for you and part like the red sea ... see a normal ball in the box and the wood work saves us again .. your not having to work too hard to get major chances ...... i hope your wembley legs kick in soon and you tire out ..... were the happier with the half time and must ourselfs on the front foot or were going to lose this big time saurez did dive for the pen ... against us cheating is not required ... half decent play will get you a goal.
It's great seeing the old Kuyt back bar his penalty! Can't see us playing like this with Carroll on the pitch. really do need a top class striker in the summer.
If the goons come away with anything from this match the post will be their MotM. It should be 5 or 6 : 1 by now. How far was the goon keeper off his line when that penalty was taken?
Suarez made the most of the challenge yes. But his foot is caught by Shezny (you can see the wobble) so there was contact. You can argue from both sides and no one is likely to be out and out wrong or correct.
Clear dive by Suarez for the penalty. Was glad Adam wasn't allowed to take it but Kuyt's effort was poor, should have let Downing take it, his was the best penalty last Sunday. Or Carragher. Good counter-attack for the goal, shame it ended in an own goal by Koscielny but a goals a goal. Hit the woodwork twice and had a hat full of other chances too. Is this going to define our season yet again? Lots of chances but a lack of clinicalness is punished again? Cracking cross by Sagna but poor defending by Carragher letting Van Persie get a simple 'tap-in' header.
Finally, some honesty from a scouser. But as I said, we're lucky not to be 4-0 down. We're being out played majorly.
