Now this is going to sound like a dig but it's a genuine question. Why do you think that you can get midfield dominance and who with?
I agree in the sense that i think Arsenal are better as a unit. I'd be more confident if we had Lucas available. I can't call this game at all, and lunchtime kickoffs can be strange ones. Don't think we can afford to lose, and think it might come down to Suarez vs Van Persie. Arsenal have a small team as well so wouldn't mind seeing Carroll start.
I really don't see that. Rosicky has played 1 decent game this season. Arteta we know of old and flatters to deceive. Ramsey has little to offer. Whilst I too would be happier if Lucas was there I still feel that we will dominate this game. Our problem at Anfield is not dominating games but taking the countless chances that we create - given your defensive frailties that's encouraging.
Yeah you know it was slightly tongue in cheek Dave but would I rather have lennon starting RW for us than Henderson? I think you know my answer to that.
The Ox - Possibly the player in the EPL out his age group with the most potential. From what I've seen of him, he looks fantastic. Hope he doesn't start..... unless it's tennis ball keepy ups
Swift pint then off the game hate early kick offs but bring it on anyway. Hope it's a good game and an even better result for us. YNWA
Liverpool Team: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Carragher, Enrique, Henderson, Spearing, Adam, Downing, Kuyt, Suarez. SUBS: Doni, Bellamy, Shelvey, Coates, Flanagan, Maxi, Carroll. No Gerrard or Johnson in the 18. Carroll on the bench as Kuyt partners Suarez up-top. Spearing comes into the middle with Adam.
You Liverpool fans really do rate your team don't you? You've flattered to deceive all season, yet the way you talk about them in this thread...
As far as i'm aware, Shelvey was recalled from his loan at Blackpool a few months ago and has been with Liverpool since.
Arsenal Team: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie. SUBS: Fabianski, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jenkinson, Gervinho, Chamakh, Miquel. Despite injury concerns over Robin Van Persie and Thomas Vermaelen, they both start today. Ex-red Yossi Benayoun also gets a starting place.
You clearly haven't read very closely. Most of us are hopeful rather than confident, and like you guys are talking about key match-ups over the pitch. Arsenal concede goals, and we're at home where we haven't been beaten this season, so regardless of all other factors if we play well we're going to think there's a chance we'll do well. Arsenal have also scored plenty though so you guys are likely to think you can do well also. Don't think we've been overrating our chances from what I've read. Good luck Gunners but hope we stuff you!
I wonder how Walcott will get on against Enrique this time round. ...last time round Enrique made him look a bit Sunday league.
I hope Henderson turns up and equally, I hope we're playing a 4-5-1 system so he's not playing out wide where he'll never be able to turn up. Our bench looks like it could have more impact if things are tight with 20 to go, I'm hopeful we can sneak this one.
I'm hoping for a 433 with Kuyt, Suarez and Downing up top, Henderson, Adam and Spearing in the middle.
