Skin Bleaching 'cake soap' - an example of the result of many Black people using 'cake soap' to lighten their skin This video is by Vybz Kartel - the same dancehall artist as the one above (top of thread page) but after using 'cake soap'..... I think the video above was early 2009 and this 'Summertime' was 2010... 'Cake Soap' is a highly controversial topic across the world and none more so than now as mainstream artists have popularised it.... The king of Rocksteady Reggae and the reason why Studio 1 became the most famous reggae label of all time - Mr Alton Ellis. An old artist now - but way back when, he was a groundbreaking artist.

Nice one Dave I lived in Christchurch for the majority of the time, used to go to Oistins open air fish night (party) every Friday without fail, once a month it was a Soca night, the rest of the time it was dancehall. Amazing night's I had there - can't wait to return soon. Also as mentioned in the song, I was a frequent visitor to Bathsheba on the east coast. I still have a hat a Rasta women made for me as I used to pick her kids up from school occasionally. I'm still in touch with her - she's a wonderful person and unfortunately recently lost her eldest son in a gun fight.
As we're on a Soca theme - here's a 'Top Ranking' Soca remix
