Right, I am as annoyed as most of us about Holt being over looked for the latest england friendly. I have just been browsing the web for all articles NCFC related as I often do when I came across a Sky Sports poll. The Poll is..... "With Darren Bent injured and Wayne Rooney suspended, who should start for England at Euro 2012?" The options.... Andy Carroll 12% Daniel Sturidge 34% Daniel Welbeck 27% Frazier Campbell 3% Jermain Defoe 12% Bobby Zamora 2% Peter Crouch 5% Other 4% I dont really know where ot start with this but I would like to point out I am not saying that Holt should be starting for England. However, if they are making Crouch, Carroll, Campbell and Zamora possible options to START then maybe Holt should be starting as I would take him in my side over any of the names just mentioned. I cant believe that this poll has been put together and Holts name isnt even mentioned (or Grahams). I hate that fact that the England team will continue to have players living off previous reputations, form or their most recent price tag. I would rather watch 11 English Championship players play for England if they were putting in 110% playing for their country irrelenvant if it was a friendly or a tournament. I cannot comprehend ever playing for your country and not giving the game everything you have. I am not sure where I am heading with this post but I just wanted to vent on here like i know some of you already have.
Doesn't matter how 'big' a club we are or become in the future, because we are 'off the beaten track' our players will never receive the recognition they deserve. Probably why Trappa-whatsizname has never been to watch Hoolahoops ! Roll-on the dualling of the A11 and A47 !
I am not sure where I am heading with this post but I just wanted to vent on here like i know some of you already have. You rant away all you like mate, I think what you've posted is pretty much how most people feel. I work with a Arsenal fan who's something high up in their supporters club, and he said to me the other day, what I wouldn't give to have Holt and Pilkington in our team right now! Most opposing fans I talk to have a very very high opinion of Holtly, I'ts just the media and the idiots at the FA who don't! ILD OTBC
Andy Carroll - Donkey, can't score for **** Daniel Sturidge - Good player - Not an out-and-out forward so confused why he's here Daniel Welbeck - Closest thing we have to a centre forward but as he showed the other night not effective at all Frazier Campbell - didn't show anything, played about twice this season Jermain Defoe - can't get a game for Tottenham Bobby Zamora - Plays for QPR, and not very well Peter Crouch - Past it, has effectively given up by joining Stoke Other - If only there was another person who could step in hmmmmmmmmmmm

FFS, If the rest of the country felt as strongly as you lot did about Grunt surely the 'Other' percentage would be above the likes of Crouch, Zamora etc, etc. but no, only 4% of the country tops think Grunt is good enough. Stop bloody whining on about it! Now if the poll was about Ruddy being in the squad, it would be different!
Its more a case of people see a list of names and think they have to chose one of those and only go for other if they really don't want to select one of the aforementioned names. Off that list I'd personally go for Sturridge over Other, simply because Other basically covers every other English striker in the world
