SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan reveals there will be an investigation into allegations that Rangers FC used two contracts.
It was for Jimmy Johnstone and he growled at the Rangers fans behind him who were applauding - the Sunday Mail mentioned it and, the following week, had this apology Clear bullshit - his mark of respect was to growl at folk? Butcher's autobiography had stories about him giving chocolate bars out of the kitbag to players and, when he gave one to Butcher, Butcher claims he said "It's only as long as you don't share it with that wee fenian bastard (MoJo)" Loads of stories abound about Johnstone having to wash his own kit and all sorts.
Apparently he stood with his arms folded during the minute's silence for Jinky at Ibrox. Classy guy by the sounds.
This is just getting silly. I'm bored of waiting. They've clearly already decided who's getting papped/taking a cut - get it in the public domain so we can have a good chortle about it NOW ffs.
I bet it's probably next week before anything is heard about staff cuts. Makes you wonder what these administrators are doing to earn their dough. Easy ****ing money.
I would've thought that tomorrow's Rangers team selection will speak volumes. Would they tell Papac he was papped today and name him as a sub tomorrow?
How can they save one million per month? Say the average player is on 10k per week*, that would require culling 25 players (250k x 4). Even asking players to take massive wage cuts, they're still going to have to cull a lot of players. * That's probably being generous as they'll most likely be looking to keep McGregor, Naismith, Whittaker and Davis. Taking their salaries out of the equation the average weekly wage is probably far less that 10k meaning even more job cuts.
