Only one left who can play that position. Besides I think he is decent. At least he might have a storming game unlike ramsey is consistantly horrible.
No. He is a kid that was given a role that he was not ready for. He has had good moments this season and also ones that he will forgot about, but he is 21 and is still developing. Lets not forget this is his first full season after breaking his leg.
I haven't given up on him. But maybe he should be sent on loan to a premier league club next year (if we sign a cesc replacement in the summer). He will need games next year.
Nah. This season was the one where he would have learnt many things about his game and where to develop. I think he will be ready next season.
Song can deputise at CB. It might mean having to play Diaby in the holding role though Just a suggestion.
Song at cb scares me. his tackling is so clumsy I get concerned everytime he is with someone in the box...
Exaclty what I was about to post. With Suarez playing, he's going to give our defenders a nightmare. With Song at the back, I can see him giving away a penalty or making a professional foul. Because Song plays midfield, he can get away with making those clumsy challenges but he wouldn't get away with that playing in defence.
The match tomorrow will be tough as liverpool seem to always raise there performance for the bigger games but yes we can definately cause them problems, what we can't do is let them dominate possession like spurs did when they went to anfield. Because we aren't good enough defensively to hold out for 90 mins if liverpool have the lion-share of possession. We are going to need more big performances from rosicky arteta and benayoun. The thing with liverpool is that they can hurt us aerially with carroll up front and also by playing the ball down the channels and into suarez's feet, kos will have to keep tight to suarez and the battle is really going to be won in midfield. I suspect liverpool will play with three in midfield in order to go man for man with us and so that they have a good chance of holding onto possession and if they do go 4-4-2 then we have much better chance of dominating the match. It would be a shame after last week to pick up three points tomorrow and it seems as though e have a somewhat competitive squad with benayoun keeping gervinho and oxo out the team.
another tough tough game for us .... thing is with the spurs win and chelski to come to arsenal, whislt we have not got much breathing space off the back of a so many lost games, we could get a draw and still be in good ish position but then making us need to beat chelski. think we will be tested with high balls if carrol plays and certainly tested by intelligent runs (and fast runs) by suarez so if we defend as we have done all year we could go 2 or 3 down very very quickly and liverpool have previous over doing this to us ... but ... we should also be able to comepte in midfield better and will certainly pose mobile up front threats ourself but we so need RVP to play. 2-1 home or away win, on the fence for this one .. hoping last sunday took more out of liverpool then they say though.
