Sounds strange, but I can actually imagine this game being 3 or 4-0 either way. Both our teams are capable of being brilliant and absolutely ****e in the same week (sometimes the same game!) so if one turns up and the other doesn't, there could be a few flying in. Hopefully it's a cracker like the 4-4 in 2009, although with us getting the extra goal...
That's te spirit...I'm going to go for a slightly more realistic score and say Liverpool 12 - 1 Arsenal.
Rosicky doubtful - that's a blow. Gerrard doubtful too - this match is too close to call. I hope Ramsey doesn't try stupid flick ons and backheels, play it simple son!
gooners... may i ask seriously... not wumming but do you even rate tomas rosisky? To be honest i think he's so far off the standard you had its untrue.
rosisky... superb.... this sounds like the jokers who were on 606 claiming eboue and the like were great... chamberlain is 4 times the players already... best of luck if you think rosisky and wlacott are the guys to bring you back to glory cos a t least we know our lot aint up to it at this point.
Had it not been for his injuries he would definitely have been one of the top midfielders in Europe (and I say that with no hyperbole). Same thing with RVP... we're only seeing now how an injury free RVP makes him one of the best strikers in the world. It was because of his injury ravaged career that people outside of Arsenal (and bar a few exceptions) couldn't see why we held on to him.
i know fully why you held onto him..... and its not cos he's one of the best in europe... sorry but thats just it. i don't want to get into a raging rosisky debate and get lads backs up so how about we divert to what team you guys are likely to play.
There have been many players who were destined for greatness only to see that potential snapped through injury. Now Rosiky may have been one of them BUT he is nowhere near the player he was and I honestly don't see him coming back to anything like. As for RvP. Nobody doubts his ability as a goalscorer. His record as an injury waiting to happen goes before him and Wenger must be crapping himself every time RvP takes to the field.
you wrote : 'at least we know our lot aint up to it at this point.' at least we can agree on something.
Anybody getting up at 7:45 to watch the game? No? It will be on ESPN here which is a really good sign as usually Macca does those games and he normally is a lucky charm for me. Worried with 3 key players being injured ( Johnson might be back in though). Hope our crowd get behind us and give us that extra bit. If Blackburn can win at home against Arsenal, so can we
merely offering a concillatory note. we all know arsenal have pulled thier season over in feb game again. In the end we have high standards and are not up to winning the legaue which is all we are interested in really. 4th is just abonus but for arsenal it seems now to be thier goal... is this the case? I am thinking... reina kelly carra skertl enrique kuyt henderson spearing adam downing suarez carroll to be dropped cos his game won't do much v arsenal in general play and to be frank suarez won't defend. so to get a 4-5-1 and bully arsenal i think kenny will drop the big guy. Spearing to try to foul before anyone gets a run at carragher. kelly and enrique to just play arsenal easily out wide. 1-1 is my prediction. RVP is just too good at too many aspects of the game to not get a chance off carragher or even a free.
I know we will need cover, but I would drop Hendo after the last performance, put suarez in the hole and Carroll up top for me. We need them firing and Arsenal is a team, with good service, Carroll can do some damage. I know he still isn't in tune with the pass and move but he has been playing pretty well and at least showing some graft along the pitch ( except in the 18 yard box where he decides it best to be a cone). Think it would give us a chance to build some early momentum too with Henderson and Bellamy to come on with loads of Energy.
