I didn't get it personally, I mean, we REALLY hate you, like, REALLY, a lot of our fans properly despise you, and we sold out for the league match easily against you, as well as against teams like Wigan and West Brom. For some reason, probably a mixture of 12 o clock KO, cup game, rumoured violence etc the game turned out a dud
The 12pm kick off and rumoured violence was a factor, FA Cup games these days are family games, I have to be honest I saw far more parents taking their kids for the league game than in the cup game, maybe it was just me. You'd have probably sold out if it were United or Liverpool.
There was less kids, the lower loft is the family stand and you have to bring a kid with you, and it was about half full that day! Anyway, my point is you can hardly mock Spurs for not selling out to Stevenage in the cup
It's just a friendly bit of banter from LF, there is a massive rivalry between the clubs and most of them enjoy posting here, haven't seen much of them since the 5-2 though I'd never genuinely knock any of the London clubs for their support given how many competitors there are. Within a 5 mile radius I have AFC Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Chelsea alone. 4 professional clubs. I am certain that the likes of Newcastle and Sunderland would not pull in the numbers they do if they had 13 other clubs competing with them within a 20 mile radius
Do you think your rivalry's with Spurs etc will last though? As the new generation comes in Man U/Arsenal etc are more and more hated
Ah so your attendances went up after Abramovich came in and started buying you shiny cups? No wonder you're so proud of those extra few thousand people turning up, they sound like quality fans
Everybody buys success yid, with United being the biggest culprits. Spuds have thrown more money at it in recent years hence the improvement in the last three years. I reckon if you can get Maureen to manage when Harry leaves you in the **** for £6 mil a year and can give him £150 mil to spend he will end your 51 year drought.
We sold out our end in one morning and had fans in Ellersie and South Africa Upper. Next time give us the Ellersie too and we'll fill that for you like the old days. The only reason you got big crowds v us in those days was because we took over your ground.
No, we averaged 40k the seaason before Abramovich bought us (2002/3), and 39770 (2001/2) the season before that. So we gained around 1,000 fans under Abram.
I think they put a few extra seats between East Upper and Harding Upper? Anyway the rise was negligible.
DL are you feeling ok? You have now called spurs a massive club and admitted we play the best football in the league this week! I knew you didn't totally hate us
We all admit WHL is best atmos in London at the mo. But very disappointing Spurs not taking allocation to Old T, Anfield, Newc...and City last season. Pathetic actually for a big club. I bet even Qpr took their allocations for those. And though I don't like the Francenal they always fill their end, even for night games
Up until recently I'd have agreed, but I think Upton Park these days is by a long way the best atmopshere on your average day. When West Ham go down every so often, the atmosphere takes a turn for the better.
