Just got home from OT, if that game had been played at the valley we would be looking forward to a semi final v chelsea. The lads really suffered on the massive old trafford pitch. Gary Neville said on the sky that the United first team win games because other premier league teams aren't used to the size of the pitch so you can excuse that from a bunch of 17 year olds!

Can someone who knows these things give me some shirt numbers to go with the names?

Of the ones I know Cousins played rb and was ok, Morgen Fox is the left back? He looked good. The big black center half was excellent. Poyet, the 4 i think, played at the base of the dimond was poor and should of given away a penalty in the 100th minute! The 8 was good until he went off, 7 not so. ( i think was Piggot? Looked quite usefully. Tobi Sho-Silva, big number 11? Very useful, reminds me of Danny Welbeck, only slightly bigger. Azeez the sub was awesome, not sure why he didn't start?

Harriott well he was excellent in the first half, missed a sitter on the stroke of half time and was awful in the second half. Completly disapaired. Gets credit for battling on for the last ten minutes, could hardley walk he was so cramped up!

From United Jack Barnby was the best player on the pitch by a mile, there left back who injured our sub was very good as well. Can't see many others getting anywhere near the United first team.

On a side note why don't all the teams at the club play the same formation? Isn't that the point of a youth team, to produce players to play in the first team? If any of these players get called up to SCPs team they will be playing a system they aren't used to?

Super performance. We have some real talent there. Pity it turned on one of our players getting crocked by a wild tackle, but I don't think there was anything malicious, just tiredness.

Props to those fans who made the long trip to support our boys.

Terrific performance last night. That was a Charlton team to be proud of. I only saw the 2nd half but what a game. Surprised to read that Poyet was poor, he's an excellent player in the making, wait and see. To me our Academy has been a beacon of light during our decline, and they have always played a type of football which has been good to watch and contrasted with what we had to endure in the last years of the Murray/ pardew/ Parky era.

Remember Poyet was a year younger than most of the players in that match. A year is a lot at that age. He is captain of England in his own age-group so don't write him off yet :)

Right, and when I've seen him at other games he's impressed me as having an old head on young shoulders.

If you can't get to Bournemouth, the under 18's play B'ham at Sparrows Lane at 12 o'clock.

I wondered how he was doing. How's the FLU? I should be at Sparrows' Lane today.
