I'd love it, I'd bloddy love it if we beat Man Utd but can't see it happening.

They play til the whistle every game and we seem to switch far too much and teams like Man Utd punish that.

We are yet to score at home in the league this year after 0-0 draws with yourselves and Stoke. <yikes>

You're unbeaten at home in the league, MNS.
Don't screw that record now! <grr>

It's not about backbone, we just tend to get ****ed over by refs when playing arseholes from Manchester, for some reason. <whistle>

If Bale's missing, then will we see Kranjcar moved to the left, with Lennon restored to his place on the wing and will we see a return to the starting XI for van der Vaart?
Does Redknapp use similar tactics to those adopted against Newcastle or go for our more usual 4-4-1-1?

Atkinson's the ref. Master of Fergie time, card happy he sent 13 off last season and made the awful decision to send Rodwell off at the beginning of this one. We had him against Everton but he's been mostly dropped to 4th official this season and hasn't received his refereeing license from Fergie so this will be the first time he takes charge of one of their games this season. The first time he's been in charge of United Premier League game in over a year since having the gall to give a penalty against them and send a player off in the Chelsea match.

Despite all that, I think he's a good ref and given certain other referee's records with United it could've been a lot worse.

Even if King is 'fit', I'd play Dawson instead

Last week the Standard were talking about how we were superior to Arsenal this season
This week the Standard is talking about our lack of wins over Man Utd for the past 11 years

Come on, fate, you owe us for last week!
