What a superb night at the CCS ,Costa Rica a very good footballing side and loved their band in the crowd as added brilliant atmosphere as well as the 23000+ crowd that turned up for a Welsh legend .

Pity Ramsey,Bale were injured but got to be honest here i thought that Giggs would have made a appearence even tho he said he had retired from international football but this match was a one off ,anyone feel the same?

Have not seen Williams pass the ball that forward instead of side to side for years ,lol .

Bella`s always was a threat but he gave it all and very unlucky not to score as he would have loved too and you could see the pain in his face for tonights game .

Saw more Welsh Dragon flags from all over Wales tonight than in a long time, places like Rhos -on-sea,Dolgellau,Ammonford,Wrexham and even swansea ,lol .

Brilliant night for a brilliant person .

    It was our band. <doh>

Costa Rica very good, quick, excellent ball control and pressed us the whole game. While Crofts got MOM the real MOM was Bryan Ruiz of Fulham. He controlled the game.

We didn't show much upfront other than 1 shot from Robson-Kanu (great save by their keeper), a header by Morrison that hit the bar and a very offside goal from Earnie. We really missed Ramsey and Bale - they would have made a difference.

Great song about Morrison "you used to be ****e but now you're alright".

Excellent tribute to Gary Speed from all concerned.

Ashamed to say it was my first ever Wales game.

Not the best game of football ever, but the atmosphere was fantastic.

Agree with everyone's sentiments about the game.

JH: "loved their band in the crowd" <doh> Had you actually gone you'd have known that, you plonker. It was pretty obvious.

Shame you saw fit to have a dig at a Swans player on such an occasion but that's to be expected.

Was ment to read ,"Loved the band in the crowd ", but then again another one for the correct police ,lol

Aussie if you think that was a dig at a swansea player saying he passed it forward then you must really get your head sorted out Gramps!!! ,stop trying to get grubby points on this sad occasion you sad twat ..;o)

Matthews looked below par and that move to Scotland not doing him any favours ,Joe looks like he has put on a few pounds and a pleasure to see so many ol Cardiff lads back playing on our new turf . His sons were fantastic and really enjoyed the night .

Seems Cardiff and Cardiff City has been in the footballing world news but maybe this night was the most sad ...........

I thought Williams was one of our better players although I don't know who was at fault for their goal and haven't seen a replay. JH is just being JH ;)

Central defence very slow to come out and block Ruiz and one of the defenders (not sure who) had stood back when the others moved out allowing Campbell to stay onside. He finished well though. I hadn't realised he was an Ar5ena1 player on loan to a French club. He looked really sharp and would have been a much better loaner for us than JET was last year.

Agreed overall on Matthews. A couple of times he got forward well but instead of risking a cross with his left, he cut back on his right and slowed the move. Also, his heading ability has not improved, caught out a few times. I think he is best at right midfield where he first played for us. He can get forward inside or out and support forward and back without having to make crucial defensive decisions. Mind you he is still very hard to get past on the ground and a good tackler.

Yes, Joe has bulked up a bit - all those deep fried Mars bars they do up there plus chips and cheese butties and a drop or 6 of heavy. He is so left sided he loses a bit in centre midfield and would still be at his best on the left with a brief to get forward.

    couldnt make the game unfortunately.

disappointing result, but today wasnt about the result, it was about gary speed. i hear the show that the FAW put on at the CCS was a fitting tribute to a role model to many, shame the players couldnt win it for gary but you can understand some players would not have been looking forwards to this match for emotional reasons.. <ok>

I don't think Mathews has improved at Celtic. Obviously you can get away with ball watching in Scottish football.

bad call from the lad. bad call from jones to freeze him out. i fear we could lose a potential stalwart of the team at right back due to this move. i think he was badly advised personally, it was all about the PL when ledley moved, even more so when matthews did <ok>

I think you're right Swamp. If Mathews had stayed with us he could have developed into the quality player we thought we had. Still has time on his side but I don't think he has improved since he left us.

Does anyone know who the band were that were on early doors about half 6. before the SFA and Mike Peters(the Alarm) and only men aloud lol.
Was a very good tribute to Speedo I even took my shoes off!!! Would of been nice to see him off with a win but the result was always gonna be secondary.
It shows tho if we lose a couple of our best players we are half the team we can be.
