    You seem to be missing the point. In my eyes Sir Alex was 100% innocent from anything malicious. I simply used that quote to show how convincing it is to prove that someone is a "racist" or in this case "xenophobic". When in fact what he said is acceptable. Clubs have been bought out by owners with a lot of money who are not like typical managers. It is also renowned that our league excepts all these nationalities when back in the 70's/80's there were few around who were not english. Sir Alex is simply stating how things have changed. And nothing is wrong with that.

    I have been tempted to write about this actual video. It seems to depict an African tribe am i correct? I submit to you when has an African tribe in the past ever been Caucasian? In terms of using stereotypes... We use stereotypes about the Scottish the Welsh and they use stereotypes about us all the time. Racist? NAAAAH.

    So why is it so taboo to use them in that advert? Special treatment because of race?

    positive racial discrimination? (In my eyes this is just as bad really).

    He was wearing a scousers GK top and therefore was representing the club. He could have worn any normal clothes like anyone doing an advert here would have done.

    All the papers have reported it. Now it all needs one of the equality groups or one of the politicians to mention it and the club owners will have to comment.

    I agree with this, the world has just completely lost track of what is actually racist/xenophobic/homophobic or whatever and with it its sense of humour completely.

    There should be a clear distinction between actual racism and some form of humour that while does include people of different colour/sexuality etc, isn't actually discriminatory.

    Well, there is really to most sensible people but all the ****ing hand wringers and drones are trying to beat that out of us so that there can never, ever, be any reference to race or colour in anything we say or do.

    On adverts, a massive proportion of British adverts depict men as idiots to the humour and behest of women.

    Sexist as ****, we should be up in arms!!!

    Reina has to take responsibility. He could have said no. He must have known that this would have caused uproar in the UK after the Suarez episode.

    Do you know when that ad was filmed? Given the length of time it takes to commission, film and then book slots for adverts, it is highly likely to have been done well before the Suarez incident.

    Apart from yourself and Simon Woolley, I have yet to hear from anybody who believes that the ad is in fact racist.
