Sorry la la, I never saw this thread, only just seen it by luck. For some reason it was not highlighted as unread on my threads? Feels like bad manners - sorry, I cannot believe I have missed this for two days, you should have sent me a PM. In answer to your question, no I am not coming down, tbh I can't afford the travel. My son has just insured his car with me on it, purely so we can travel to games but its just the cost of fuel. Plus her indoors has a long weekend off, so got to keep everything good for the rest of the season. I've written a pre match review on the game, will post a link once it has been published.
Bloody armchair supporters. What's wrong with the horse instead of horse power. How your lot got a result last night god only knows.
brb.......I was going to suggest seeing that your not going to Home Park.........that you caught a Red Bus to the Valley........but I see the're away to Bournemouth,so unfortunate for you.
Thanks for closing the thread where I was having an interesting chat with Westcountryblablabla - I know I can pm him - but I thought he was out of order. I know that the ' original ' posts about a horse was as a joke - but after Gills completed the double over Plymouth today I thought that the posts were more unkind than funny.
alwaysright, I made the "original" funnies about the horse because they were "funny" in context and it was brb who introduced the horse in the first place. brb has always been made welcome on here and the thing remains the same even following today's fixture. However, today was matchday and he was bound to be pleased with your 3 points as much as we were bound to be pissed off with it. There is oft an exchange on a matchday which bares no resemblance to other times. For what it's worth the biggest pillock of the day was the man with the whistle who was singularly the worst one I've come across in a decade (or possibly longer). He completely lost the plot and allowed Gillingham to indulge themselves in more gamesmanship than a ship full of games. Your players spent more time rolling around on the floor with your physio in attendance than I've seen in the sum total of games this season. The man must be knackered from running on and off the pitch. Most of the "injuries" were totally a sham but the Ref didn't seem to notice. Do I blame your players for doing it. No not one bit and we would have probably done the same in your shoes if the Ref was obviously the idiot he turned out to be. Today hasn't consigned us to the BSP but I think it has tipped a lot of us supporters into thinking it is becoming a nailed on certainty. Don't expect us to be happy for you or to condone the conduct of your players either. As for brb. I am definately shooting your horse now as a reprisal but you are still not going to win the prediction league how ever much you try.
Couldn't have put it any better myself Sensible ..... pretty accurate description of the so called match !
sensiblegreeny - given that we dont spend time on each others' boards you wont know how strongly I feel about cheating - in all walks of life. I certainly do not condone it in my teams players. As eluded by another of your fans - I would rather not go to games if all my team can do is cheat. I also know that GFC had the greater portion of decisions by the referee, and at times rode our luck ( although Plymouth's finishing was poor .) I also understand that light hearted banter takes second place on match days. I also understand why some of the posters on this forum were disenchanted - but if at that stage contributors continue to express their disappointment in the fashion shown, you cannot be surprised if there is a reaction - I suppose it shows that we have feelings for our clubs and their future. I am genuinely surprised at the alarming fall of your club over the last couple years. I have always seen Plymouth as a club that has played fairly decent football - GFC have usually struggled against Plymouth, especially at your place. I can think of many other teams that I would rather see in the BSP - best of luck for the rest of the season.
