This is a really interesting article: http://theseventytwo.com/football-l...t-players-in-the-championship-promotion-race/ It shows the percentage of games won and lost by the top teams in the NPC with and without key players playing. The most striking statistic for Saints is that with Adam Lallana playing we have won 59% of matches, whereas without him we have won only 38%. By contrast Blackpool have won 42% of the matches Matt Phillips has played in, but 47% of those he hasn't.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Matt Phillips is not that good. Richard Chaplow on the other hand...
Matt Phillips is overrated...Adam Lallana is the boss. If we do go up,I'd like us to put a bid in for Peter Whittingham.
I think Hooiveld is the key, when he plays we hardly concede, look at our last five games. Chaplow and Lallana are important but I would say they were injured when our squad was at its weakest.
I'd like to see more of falque because I think he has a lot to offer but only if we play him in his favoured position.
