Here's my thoughts on Nicholls' festival:

    Possible winners:
    Al Ferof
Zarkandar (I think no chance, but others may disagree)
    Hinterland (Fred Winter)
    Harry the Viking
    Join Together
    Cristal Bonus
    Poquelin
    Kauto
    Empire Levant
    Ted Spread
One of his triumph lot - personal preference for Pearl Swan

    Probable winners:
    Big Bucks

I'd say that probably equates to at least four winners - for my money they'd be BB, Hinterland, HtV, TS.

Join Together will go close if he goes for the 4-miler. Can't see him winning the RSA though

I think Henderson is waiting to see where Boston Bob goes before committing Simonsig to the Neptune. If Fingal Bay doesen't make the race and Boston Bob is AB bound, then this race starts to look pretty weak in comparison to the SN. While the SN is missing a potential superstar it does look a tough race with 5 or 6 potential big improvers.

The Simonsig saga is tiring, I saw he was backed again for the Neptune last night.
I know trainers have no direct responsibility for punters but any sort of statement with an indication of thinking would help, otherwise ante post punting will fall flat on its arse given the expanded festival and the number of horses multi-entered....

Chaps I was thinking of the doing the following bet for the Arkle and would value your opinions if you would be so kind!!!
Open a new Paddy power account for E50 and they will double your bet for free-I have to double check this but pretty sure they do it-so basically you have a E100 bet for E50.Now open another PP account under diff details so you have two of the same bet-I'm targeting the arkle here

    1) E100 for peddlars cross to win at 11/4 returns E375-profit E275
    2) E100 for Al ferof to win at 11/2 returns E650-Profit E550
    3) If sprinter sacre wins PP will refund you bet.

I've looked at this race very carefully and i cant see anything out of these three winning and they will probably make the first three. The only challengers are cue card who is a fairy and wont make it up the hill and barely won his last race and menorah who has fell twice and cant jump a twig plus the yard is carp form.I reckon it's 90% a good thing and if worse comes to worse your only down a tonne but reckon it's worth the risk!!

Sounds good ste and from the adverts I believe paddy power treble your first deposit so infact you get 150 bet for your 50 , the advert is where some fit blonde play a teacher at the whiteboard teaching maths to Victor and William.

So ud have 150x2.75(11/4 without stake) 412.5+50(your stake, they don't pay the free part) so 462.50 if peddlers cross won.
And 150x5.5 equals 825+50 875 if al ferof won
And no loss if sprinter sacre wins sounds easy doesn't it , word of caution is that I believe cue card will stay up the hill having already won over 2m4 this season but if he finds enough off the bridle to deal with the 1st 3 in the betting is another thing .

The rumour is that Boston Bob is now heading towards the Albert Bartlett and that may be the reason Hendo is contemplating Simonsig going for the Neptune!

Maybe Mr Mullins is a trends follower and has realised 0/38 is a very hard stat to break for 7yo winners of the Neptune :)

Reading Wylie's comments and it appears Mullins had almost decided upon the Potato Race only for Fingal Bay to drop out, leading to a re-consideration. The markets would suggest that Simonsig is going for the Neptune, but still appears to be some doubt with Boston Bob.

Funny how the novice hurdling targets have become one of the biggest stories of this year's Festival! <laugh>

Just has a £1 accum on the following as a daft bet:

    Cue Card 8/1
    Binocular 5/1
    Monksland 8/1
    Royal Guardsmen 10/1
    Champion Court 9/1
    Sea Of Thunder 10/1

I think Cue Card and Binocular are unlikely, but there are bound to be some upsets, there always is. It was a left over pound from my deposit the other day so I thought I might as well try and win a fortune <laugh>

Did Hissabaat for the Triumph today. Weld is pretty sweet on him and he ran really well last time out. I guess everyone knows that 365 is now NRNB but I'll say it anway just in case!.

    Ste D,

Am 99% sure that the TV offer by PP that you are refrring too cannot be used in conjunction with their offer on refunding bets if Sprinter Sacre wins. Best check with PP first of all though but I am pretty certain. Apologies for being the bearer of bad tidings !!!

<rofl> Really mate?! Really?! I take it you're having a laugh with that one...If Mr Mullins had a been reading the condescending pittle pattle you were harping on about Hurricane Fly for months on end last year he'd a hardly bothered sending the horse over <laugh> Though you weren't COMPLETELY wrong mate, as I'm pretty sure you were spot on that the 'owners had a nice day out' though perhaps a lot nicer than you were hoping... <laugh>
