Imagine if Al Jazeera were to outbid sky and get the premiership TV rights, that would seriously damage Sky's incomings - and after all that hard work building the league up!! I, personally would love to see Al Jazeera grab the TV rights from under Sky's nose, what would Sky then do?

Hopefully invest heavily in the football league but I doubt it

for me i have to think that sky deserve it royally.

I think and feel totally ripped off by sky. I don't want 5 or 6 sports channels. I want to pay X for football, y for cricket if desired and z for f1 if desired. not a huge amount and not get any value for all of them... I have golf i hate rugby league etc why am i forced to pay for them.

then the movie stations are a total waste and long gone from my package but guess what? effectively they ripped me off by removing the bundle cost of both and increasing the cost of sly sports as a result.

I'd be very happy if a really rich company broadcasting over skys channels came in and did them over. If i pay a £5 less for football I'd be more than happy.

what pissed the hell out of me is sky DARING to try to charge me for multiroom and then charge for sky go on a mobile as well... i wanted to watch sky sprots over on a tablet just to see and was astounded they were goign to charge AFTER downloading the app extra per month to allow me MAYBE watch on wireless... joke.

netflix is great simply as its on demand and its everything and anything for a few pound and provided your broadband is a good package.

sky movies is a dead technology.. they have to be changing it soon.

the sky go charge really annoyed me.

Rupert and his corporations are scum and i'm glad every celeb under the sun is taking them for all they can.

A free press is essential to stop our gov completely controlling us, but a limit of sorts needs to be there.

Hopefully sueing will make them think twice.

Not not that fussed is Al Jazeera take over.

Sky eh? I thought it was not physically possible to suck And blow at the same time. BS.

What is stupid is that people are paying extortionist rates for, we feed something till it grows big and ugly and then we keep feeding it as we complain about it.

I am reaching 2 years since I canned sky got the ntl BAAAsic package with internet, internet that never fails me. €100 for sky, internet €40 = €140per month
ntl and broadband down the cable 20m down 2.5m up €50

I get all the things I want to watch when I want to watch it live footy apart which I watch when its on obviously.

I have opted out of football in general, I dont agree with the wages and cost of seeing the team but I enjoy the games nonetheless. Fans should own all clubs, if that was the case wages would not be so high I can tell you. Also we could make Gerrard drop round to B4F for a chinwag and some clattenberg cake

Sky unfortunately also has a stranglehold over TV rights meaning that boycotting Sky would ultimately mean boycotting our team! If there were an alternative we'd jump at the chance - hence the joy in Al Jazeera looking to beat Sky for the TV rights deal. Liverpool fans understand that Murdoch owns The Sun & Sky but sometimes you need to grit your teeth for the greater good and hope that something changes... and it looks as though it is.

The situation with the Sun is different, there are alternatives.

Ya Numpty
