I thought that for "Comical Ali" type bluster and bravado, that Leggo could not be beaten, I was wrong. I stumbled upon this cracker today and could not help but laugh at the sheer idiocy of it, are/is they/he serious? Sadly it appears that they/he are/is.

All that is missing from this risible affront to common sense are the words "We will fight them on the beaches".

Rangers fans are not some sort of threatened species or a social underclass, nor are they proud Unionist proddies to a man. They don't all vote Labour and they certainly don't all buy into the oft proclaimed song "no one likes us and we don't care". This particular "rallying call" would not be out of place on some far right EDL/BNP nutjob website so badly worded is it.

If any of it were true I may have been slighty worried that I had fallen asleep for a Rip Van Winkel period of time and awoken in some dystopian future where Rangers fans were trodden underfoot by a malicious Catholic heirarchy, fortunately I know this not to be true - and thank God for that- Sadly though, some of the knuckle draggers who have read this tripe may actually believe it and modify their behaviour accordingly, looking at every individual who is not a "Rangers man" with suspicion and mistrust.

Thank God none on here (since Girvan left) actually seem to buy into this twaddle because if they did this really would be an awful place to live. Maybe some of these "people" actually do believe they are being victimised and if they do I truly pity them.

It's only a game of football for ****'s sake!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scotland Beware....Our Standard Is Raised

It's funny how things can turn around. Ask any Rangers supporter who has been following our club's saga on message boards, social networks, news channels and printed media. If this was a tv soap it would be criticised for having too much drama. Where it will end goodness only knows, this bear has long given up trying to even remotely predict the outcome.

Instead perhaps it's worth turning our attention to what we do know.

On the announcement of administration for Rangers there were a fair few people who could barely contain their joy, they sent their texts, they tweeted about it and they openly laughed and joked about it. But they ain't laughing now.

In fact they are sitting watching events unfold with increasing alarm and a dawning realisation.
It's not the fact that every 5 minutes or so news commentaries are describing Rangers as the most successful club in the world, nor is it even that we are being hailed as the biggest and best supported club in Scotland or that we are an institution, which is an integral part of Scottish society, and part of the identity of millions of people not just in this country but around the globe. Neither is it that politicians, from first ministers to prime minsters and commentators from the world of sport and beyond sport, are openly encouraging Rangers to survive and come through this troubled time.

No, what is causing mass trepidation amongst those who hate Rangers is that the events of the last few days have shaken the colossal beast which is the Rangers support out of hibernation. The fabled army has risen and is on the march and God help anyone or anything which gets in its way.

The majority which has been silent for far far too long, have finally found their tongues. In cities, in towns, in villages, in glens, in valleys, in shires the call to arms for the Rangers is being answered. But don’t think this mobilisation will be restricted to merely a football club and sport. That's the problem with kinetic energy, once you get a huge mass moving who knows where it will stop. Perhaps that's why so many politicians wish to be seen to be supporting Rangers cause in these troubled times. I suspect they realise that not only have the Rangers support remembered how to use their voice, but also their vote.

Even now the foot soldiers of this army are starting to ask the awkward questions and identify those who appear to stand in their way, the enemies of this club are being noted, and they will not be forgotten. Not now. Not ever.

Moreover lessons have been learnt. The placing of trust in certain individuals, and following faithfully without question have been exhausted. I have a feeling once realised this will extend beyond the spheres of Rangers FC to the very fabric of the society they live in. Isn't kinetic energy a bitch ?

There may come a day when football supporters accept with a mere shrug of the shoulders that their football club is all but gone.

But this will not be the day. Nor will it be Rangers FC.

Yet another demented lunatic. A whimsical piece, delaing in no fact but plenty of fantasy. Can anyone let me know where the fabled army of MILLIONS is at this current moment in time?

Glasgow Rangers FC fans protest biased BBC broadcasting
Rangers FC fans and supporters protest outside the BBC Scotland headquarters in protest. The protest is organised by a supporters group known as Vanguard Bears. The group issued a press release which states:
"Vanguard Bears today formally announces a Rangers Supporters Protest against blatant BBC bias.
Rangers FC have come under sustained attack from the BBC over a number of years. It is our view that there is an agenda within BBC Scotland, and within the network BBC against Rangers Football Club.
The BBC clearly targets our club with negative Propaganda both directly and through subliminal reporting and picture editing.
The time has passed for subtle inferences of unbalanced reporting, to state in clear terms that the BBC is biased against Rangers Football Club.
The demonstration is being organised by supporters group Vanguard Bears to which all Rangers supporters are invited to express their opinion at the BBC’s obvious inequality.
Two other protests will run simultaneously at the BBC’s London and Belfast HQ’s.
Previous correspondence and dialogue with BBC hierarchy has not abated the agenda and the reasons for protest are many - and have been documented before - but the focus of this demonstration is on four key issues:
1: BBC Employees’ continued use of the sectarian term ‘Hun’ to describe Rangers supporters.
2: “Inappropriate editing” of an Ally McCoist interview.
3: The recent Twitter message (Tweet) from a BBC employee mocking our dead in the Ibrox Disaster.
4: The malicious ‘hatchet job’ on Craig Whyte in a recent investigative report on “Rangers: The Inside Story”

For too long the Rangers support has stood idly by and allowed our team’s detractors to launch attack upon attack on our club – we are no longer prepared to accept it.

All Rangers Fans Welcome

Further details of the protest will be released in due course.

Dev Advocate, I agree with you that not all Rangers fans are of the Vanguard type or Leggo type.
However the Vanguard Leggo type are not in the very small minority that I think you sometimes like to point out.
These type of supporters form a very strong vocal group maybe in the minority, maybe not. When they sing their bile at Ibrox
there doesn't seem too many who are not eager and willing to join in.
If only you were right Dev.

I don't ever recall saying that the Vanguard/Leggo type were the majority but I actually do believe they are the minority.

I don't know many Gers fans who use VB or FF or read Leggo, I don't think any of the Gers fans on these boards do (I may be wrong) and even taking that small sample into account it seems that very few Gers fans actually beleive this bullshit.

Dev Advocate, whilst you may see yourself as some sort of moderate Celtic , fan let me give you some
advice for free. Rangers and their follow(follow)ers would stoop to any level if it meant that Celtic were harmed , p
lease do not kid yourself. Just look at how Farry and co behaved to ensure their heros equaled Mr Stiens record .
