I wouldn't get too excited, Luke. Firstly, I doubt that Levy would ever agree to sell him to a premiership rival. Secondly, you couldn't afford him, anyway!

Missing the point of the thread or just got bored and decided to wum?

If Modric forces his way out he'll be no worse than Berbatov, which is a long way off Judas.

Judas left us by seeing out his contract and joining the scum (that worked well <doh>)

Modric is in contract until 2015 and has the right to negotiate a new contract or not. If he chooses not to then levy can sell him for whatever price he wants to, let's be realistic here, a non PL side. Oh look - profit.

There really is a huge difference between Campbell and Modric and if you can't see it then you really are stupid.

Remind me - where is he now?

The phrase "that worked well" is 100% accurate. Failure and obscurity is what happens to all mercenaries.

If Harry takes the England job

...he's got to be offered it first. I don't think his last 2 games have displayed his best attributes have they. The FA have said nothing, monitoring how Pearce handles this friendly imo. Atm, i like the way he's staying out of the papers with unecessary quotes, and despite media pressure over the captaincy has told them to damn well wait until just befor ko like everyone else. can you see Harry handling that the same way?. I've got an idea which the FA may well prefer.

No one bar me has mentioned we may have seen the first effect on the team, of Harry incessentantly wobbling on about England...there's no law that says you have to answer a question that I'm aware of. For those unaware he found the time while focusing on Tottenham to have an article full of quotes in the Daily Mirror on Saturday. Must of made him lose of focus of how 442 against 451 Arsenal went a few months ago at the Lane.

Before Xmas we didn't have a care in the world and it showed, now there's uncertainty, it has to affect the team eventually imo. I think the Toon game was a big post court case adrenalin rush, the NLD was so horrific en masse it could well be a factor. Spurs need this matter clarified one way or the other asap, so everyone knows where they stand.

Good post - uncertainty does can have a negative effect however that same uncertainty existed when Redknapp was in court.

I would like to say that players, at 50k per week (over £2m per year) should be able to rise above these uncertainties and that the board should be able to mitigate things.

    Well, that's my bit anyway.

Yes of course well paid players should rise above this, but clearly they don't or psychological factors would never have an affect on footie when clearly they often do. The problem is that if anything I would have put Harry's strengths more at man management than tactically (not that he's a bad tactician, but he's just very good at motivation) and when the motivational stuff fails the team looks really bad!

The question I always like to ask a Gooner, when ever he mentions the so-called Invicibles is, "what eventually happened to them?" The answer to which is, "Oh! Yes, that's right. They lost!"

No it wasn't, it was comparing Modric to Judas. It's interesting to read your longer version of "you'll be ****ed", though.

It is inevitable Modric and Bale will go to United, city or a bigger club one day unless their form drops.

They want regeular Champions League football and won't get it at Spurs
