"I feel very sorry for Airdrie and their supporters but we're running a business. We have given them repeated warnings and felt they were playing on our good nature. I apologise to Airdrie's supporters but something had to be done about this debt. Business is business."
celtic should pay the 80k to dunferline and dundee utd then the remainder to the wee huns. this would be for the benefit of scottish football, afterall traynor tells us we need to act for the good of scottish football. some huns on twitter trying to get the journos to investigate celtic, apparently leggo has got a rumour going that celtic became a newco in 94.
We floated on the stock exchange and changed the clubs name to drop the Athletic Company bit to Club - equating this to liquidation is perhaps the most ******ed thing I've ever heard. Publicly floating the club's stock was fought for by the fans for years (NTV campaign) and Fergus delivered. I repeat. Spastics.
He's put the first bit in bold today It's a belter today. So, Celtic (who have formed an anti-Rangers cabal) will be reviled because Rangers went bust and reduced the TV deal but Rangers, who owe clubs outstanding funds, won't. 50% of **** all is still **** all - Motherwell, for instance, make less than a million a year on TV money and I'm sure the likes of Dunfermline get less than that. To summarise, Celtic have formed a multi-team anti-Rangers cabal but members of said cabal are uniting against Celtic. Also, no-one who's ever worked at the same company as Lawell can work for the SFA - I'm afraid that the days of being linked to anyone in Celtic meaning the SFA froze you out are long gone, Mr Leggat - and don't you ****ING HATE it. 100 years ago, Leggat's granda no doubt had a "no blacks, no Irish, no Poles" sign outside his highland B&B - the "good old days" as this ****wit would have it. Dickhead.
I doubt all but the most deluded Rangers supporting ****wits (Girvan Loyal and his ilk) take him seriously these days.
He must be chuffed with his Cabal theory as it justifies his "dark and sinister" forces pish blogged earlier this month! AND!!!!! I reckon the daft auld cnut pops a couple of viagra before typing the Spiers bit! AND ALSO!!! This stuff makes me pi$h myself at work in the morning. MORE! HERE! TOMORROW!!!! I sincerely hope so!
"THE Scottish press pack were amazed yesterday morning when nobody from the once mighty Herald checked in to board Scotland’s flight to Solvenia." Where's "Solvenia"? Maybe the "Scottish press" should have gone to Specsavers? Or....... Plus.....!!!!!!!!! EXCLUSIVE!!!!! Scottish Press in Glue-sniffing scandal flight of fantasy?
That’s the bombshell news for hard up outfits such as Rod Petrie’s Hibernian, Steven Thomson’s Dundee United and Stewart Milne’s Aberdeen where managing director, Duncan Fraser is the hands-on day-to-day man who runs the Dons. If they are "hard up" what does that make Rangers?
The man is a raving lunatic , first somebody remind him , Rangers men have held the top position in Scottish football, Gordon Smith , George Peat and Campbell Ogilvie . He gets great pleasure in the Hearld going to the wall , has he forgotten about his football club !!! When Speirs wrote for the Herald remember it was Murray that got him ousted for his anti Rangers comments , he was replaced by a good Rangers man to keep the bears happy , so the Hearld sold more copies when Speirs was there !!
Leggat hates the Herald because it criticised David Murray's running of the club. He hates the BBC because they exposed the shady dealings of Craig Whyte. He utterly loathes Speirs because he had the brass neck to suggest that singing bigoted songs would damage the club. And because he criticised David Murray's running of Rangers. And questioned if Whyte was the right person to take over the club. He lacks the intelligence to understand that these organisations/individuals have actually done his club a favour. Sadly, like so many who follow his club, they see enemies where they should see adversaries.
Does anybody else see this friendly as a 'vital Word Cup Finals qualifying campaign warm up match'? I mean, six months before we actually play a WC game? AND........ Why is it that everytime I see the 'AND.........' in his pieces, do I expect the next words to be Rab C. Nesbitt's? AND.......... I will tell you this, boy..........don't you ever forget it!!!!
Not really my place to judge but I suppose such games give Craig Levein an opportunity to 'blood' new players and to decide his final choices......I just hope that Charlie Mulgrew comes through uninjured as well as the other Celts on international duty.
I really loved this part of leggos ramblings fron 28th feb blog ; "Beyond breathtaking and into the realm of insanity! If what Whyte said was not a lie it will do until a lie comes along. Which will be the next time this on-the-run confidence trickster opens his mouth. The trouble seems to be that Whyte appears incapable of telling the truth. He is in a hole and wonât stop digging. Perhaps, instead of asking someone to take the shovel away from him, we should be calling for the men in white coats for Whyte. He canât be entirely sane? Can he? Indeed, there may be a case to be made for challenging his legal sanity. Was he competent, from the point of view of being legally sane, when he signed the deal with David Murray? " Is he honestly giving consideration to the whyte takeover being null and void because whyte was insane and nobody noticed ? Mitty-gating Circumstances.
By the way, Spiers' TWEET merely said: Talk about desperate point-scoring over something trivial. He ****ed up a date and a battle - TRAITOR! Pandering to the real fans, with plasters on their knuckles.
Patch didn't arrive at the front until 1917. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Patch I suspect he meant Passchendale rather than Verdun. At least he didn't think that there were two teams called Kilmarnock in the league
