What a load of ****...... LKO was great Pompey support this they need luck that. Absolute bollocks they got themselves into that position and they should suffer for it. Then it was about some bird giving the Bournemouth team talk..... Who gives a flying fcuk and then a little lambert good hat trick and saints top of the league........... Now onto yeovils mouthwatering trip to Carlisle. BBC only are about the EPL.
This might answer a few questions about coverage. I was forced [circumstances dictated it] to watch the London & South East edition of LKO tonight. You would have thought it might be wall-to-wall West Ham, but in truth, they barely got a mention. Looks like the BBC like to even out the coverage, as a public broadcaster should. No doubt we'll return as the main match, again on TFLS, at some point.
Oh Lord, thank you sparing me BBC South! But from reading this I am delighted that we aren't getting the coverage. I pick up my paper every Monday after another good result, and dread a big article praising Saints. It's rarely there, and if Saints are mentioned it's usually the opposition manager complaining about a penalty award. I want us to go up under the radar. I do not want Premiership managers noticing that Lambert has made the step up big style; nor do I want Morgan or Lallana spotted amongst others. And I really do not want Adkins noted for his managerial brilliance. News blackout would suit me. They can give Poyet a knighthood, put Brighton on the front page, andsplash Pompey all over the back page of every newspaper in the land. We're top. We have the squad to go and win promotion. I don't give a monkey's about any report.
LKO has to cover all local sides. Was only last year we moaned about Championship coverage and not much coverage of us in League 1. If a lower division side is going for promotion then I have no problem with them getting good coverage. Got to be even handed.
There seems to be a danger that some fans are getting chips on their shoulders....let's leave that to Brighton.
How dare the BBC have the audacity to talk about other teams! Late Kick Off should be a half an hour of creaming over how brilliant Southampton are!
Would do it for me, but then again I am a wee bit biased, it's no good BBC preaching how good we won, we already know.
I'm not saying it should be all us but I think we deserve a Tinsy bit more recognition given what we have achieved.
All I wanted is for all three goals to be shown tbh, how many added seconds is that?. I am not on about wanting a whole show on saints before the pompey people moan.
FWIW, I take your point, BD. It does seem as bit petty that South Today only showed 2 of the goals, but I think they're attempting to get people to watch LKO. I'm quite keen on the show, but even I miss it often, and catch it later on iPlayer. The scheduling for the programme isn't the best, IMO. But then again, change the time, and you probably have to change the title. Going on the feedback one receives from this forum, many/most Saints fans either miss it, knowing that it is on, or miss it because they don't realise it even exists. Few people seem to watch it during transmission. Then they wonder why the local BBC coverage is sometimes poor. [that wasn't a dig, btw]
Yeah I was just being facetious mostly. If you're referring to South Today, I'm pretty sure they generally don't show every goal scored in a game, whether it's Portsmouth, Southampton, Reading, Brighton or Bournemouth.
it gets boring hearing that none of your clubs financial problems are down to the CLUB, how we should all feel sorry for you... bla bla bla.
I agree, it's becoming the most boring thing in the world. They're professional victims those Skates, always moaning and crying about this and that. They had their day in the sun thanks to the tax payers of this country and now we're meant to feel sorry for them? It's not as if there are many of them that bother to turn up week in week out, but the ones that do need to just STFU and accept their punishment.
