...you dont give a **** about England? Is this true or a myth? I have always respected the hardcore element of united fans.....and their anti england chants (espicially at west ham games) always amused me. So is this a myth or is it true. Do you not care about how England do?
Not sure what the party line is meant to be but from my own personal point of view England have used and abused United players over decades, sending players back with career ending injuries, like Steve Coppel and Neil Webb, using clearly injured players at world cup finals, from Bryan Robson and Ray Wilkins through to Beckham and Rooney, out of desperation with **** all consideration to the club who have to them get this player fit for his job when they're sent back still crocked. England do not pay these players wages and so shouldn't abuse them. They FA are a joke in this and the tin hat is the succession of joke foreign mangers they reward with big new extended contracts when the have failed in their job. Sven and Capello being the obvious ones. I long since gave up caring a **** about England.
I couldn't care less about England. The players all act like ****ing idiots and the media always hype the team up and then try to destroy them with scandals. Sick of it.
Does anyone really give a **** about England anymore? I'm yet to meet any enthusiasts in the last 5-10 years.... Boring to watch, no chemistry, simply ****
I went to Euro 96 & 2000 and France 98 and the World Cup in Germany following England more due to the banter with all the lads I travelled with. However I gave up my membership straight after the world cup in Germany and haven't been to a England game since
The days when international football was the pinnacle of the game are long gone. Having completely inept management and team performances basically since Hoddle got the chop has completely stilled any passion I had for England. I was at the Equador game in Stuttgart - dullest match I've ever seen live - never again. The players seem to view it as a marketing opportunity and don't play with any pride or team spirit - it's pretty hard to support that. That's even before we get into the bunch of numpties following the team around and showing us up in front of whatever country we visit.
I was at that game. The atmosphere before the game outside the town hall was brilliant. Unfortuntly during that game I was sat in the family enclosure so there was no atmosphere. Gerrards lass was sat on the seat infront of me and she was a right mardy cow. Carricks and Carraghers family were both sat near me and they were pretty funny. They kept me entertained as the game was ****
The day before wasn't so great when the chairs and bottles started to fly into the fan zone - just no need for that sh.t. I was on the steps on the other corner with a bunch of Germans having a great time.
I only saw the chairs etc on You Tube to be honest. I was day tripping for most of the games to save holidays at work. To be honest I found the Germans in general to be really nice people which with my preconcieved idea of them it was suprising.
Totally agree about the Germans - great people. Hard to say who started what but from where I was it didn't look like the hosts started the trouble.
england can **** right off, mard ****s. boo our ****ing players hang effigies off them, bunch of ****s who are supported by smaller southern clubs
I'd have to agree with the general consensus. England seem to use United players as scapegoats. For once though, around this time in 2010, I was really looking forward to the World Cup because Rio was captain and Wayne was the main man but after SA it was more of **** England. Nothing typifies it more than how England have wasted Scholes and are doing the same with Carrick. But now the potential is there again, United have a strong English core with the likes of Jones, Smalling, Cleverley, Welbeck, Young and Rooney.
I'd be happy if England won. But I don't really care when they lose. England's too much of a shambles to really care about tbh. Every new manager gets held up as the answer to all our problems then it's the same old story. We go into major tournaments with all the hype and expectation, a Utd player is usually held up as the answer to all the problems, we play the wrong formation with the wrong players, lose horribly and the Utd player gets the blame. Uber yawn.
I went to the England v Paraguay game during the world cup in Germany. Crap game but a good day out as the Germans were great hosts. Obviously the England fans spoilt it by getting hammered in the evening and hurling abuse and chairs. ****ers.
