I read earlier that Celtic are unwilling to pay up the £300,000 in advance for the next Old Firm game. This coming after Celtic broke from tradition last December and asked for the cash from Rangers up front before the game. It was then agreed that March's game will be organised the same way. But now Celtic don't want to pay up. You can't have it both ways. So if you don't want to pay up then I say lock them out. Sell the remaining tickets to Gers fans and stick the 2 fingers up at Lawwell.
A deal reached before Rangers went into admin. A fear that Rangers could be liquidated before then maybe... Who knows why a businessman who runs a finacially well run football club would do such a thing! Lawell called it correctly with the cash up front deal originally - seeing as Rangers still owe Dundee United and Dunfermline £180K
So its unreasonable for a club to fear paying money upfront to a club that could well be liquidated and so fail to see a fixture in return for their 300k?
We can do what the **** we like Medro. It's your club that's in administration with the possibility of going into liquidation. Who the **** would give you a penny weeks in advance?
£7m in debt and a profit of £130k is not a financially well run football club. Better than our position, but by no means financially well run. Like I said, you can't have it both ways. Pay up or get locked out!
Verbal contract - not worth the paper it's written on!! Celtic have playing assests (due to buying good young players with sell on value) that could wipe that debt (those figures don't include the european money due and money from winning the league, so I actually suspect that the next 6 month audited accounts will show even less debt and a bigger profit!!) ... However, sell one (Forrest £7million min) or maybe two players (Hooper and Kayal£ £8/9 million min) would wipe out that debt easily still leaving Celtic with a superior team. PS Rangers can't lock out Celtic! It's the rules!
Why don't rangers screw over a third charity for more money Let's see, Poppy Appeal, Rangers Charity Foundation....what next.....? Laudrup had cancer....maybe you could nick a few quid from that? Dignity
You can't have it both ways. You wanted your money up front, you got it. Now we want ours. Give it or get locked out. It's only fair.
I would think a financially well run club would have no debt and would be making more than £130k in profit. Wouldn't you?
I think its actually spelt buoys. They do seem a little snappy today. I don't know why, its only fair their club cough up. If not, they're not getting in.
