I'm good mates with Michael Oliver. Just accepted onto the FIFA list. He's done really well for himself.
Agreed re contentious decisions. Most games in the premier league seem to have them. I can't remember Oliver reffing one of our games. Just think he's probably been the best over all the games ive seen.
Probably why I didn't mention him mate, it seems every week we have more than one very dodgy reffing decision to look at and not just for us.

Rog, I agree he an be a dirty little ****er. Certainly the tackle on bardsley at the sol and the Liverpool incident come to mind. But bardsley and catts can be naughty as well
Makes sense. Would this also discount clattenburg aswell? Although, how come Jeff Winter used to ref our games? Maybes boro is classed as Yorkshire haha
Jeff Winter got us as well. They can't referee within a 25 mile radius or something of where they live and grew up. Same with Clattenburg yes, although I don't rate him.
Been reffed by Oliver and played against him. Canny lad. Looks to be making a name for himself. You can tell the good ones because they can talk to the players but know when to tell them to shut up and get on with the game. Obviously Collina is always held up as the example. Problem most good ones have that he didn't is they let the attention go to their head and start classing themselves as a leading light in the show. <HowardWebb>
