Well, guess we've pretty much heard it all on here this season.
Those calling for his head. Those backing him to the hilt. Some changing their minds mid season. The comings and goings of loan and squad players.
I have to say I am pretty sick of it all and am feeling that low about WWFC that I am losing the will to attend games.

    What do I miss?
I miss the stability that we used to have. It was not so long ago that the squad was fairly settled. The close season was a time for "tweaking" and making a handful of additions to strengthen the team. There was always one or two going the other way to either ply their trade at a higher level or move on as they didn't fit into the team. I am not bitter at Matty Phillips, Jordan Ibe, Mike Williamson, Russell Martin, Kadeem Harris. I look on with pride at how they have progressed.
What i hate is the merry-go-round, which seems to take place at the end of every season (certainly for the past four of five years). It seems to have become par for the course to bring in approx 8-9 players in the summer, off load a further half dozen and then top up with loan deals. It's not surprising fans feel like players are just there to take the money and have no real affiliation.
What is it about our past two or three managers that have meant we are almost starting each August with a team we hardly recognise. This season has probably been the worst comings and goings that I can remember. Since last summer we have seen the following go out the door, either permenantly or on loan:
Elliot Benyon, Jordan Ibe, Kadeem Harris, Chris Westwood, Steve Arnold, Sam Belcher, Dan Fitchett, Stuart Green, Alan Bennett, Jerome Federico, Lewis Montrose, Keiran Murtagh, Jon-Paul Pittman, Kevin Betsy, Scott Rendell, Andy Sandell, Ben Harding, James Tunnicliffe.

We have also seen a few loan players come and go, some with more success than others:
    Rowlands, Bignall, Trotta, Harper, Basey,

In my opinion both we as fans and also WWFC as a club need a manager that is going to develop a stable squad of players. Hayes must be tearing his hair out when he sees the salary bill and how few of those taking their monthly wack are actually truly contributing to the team. In these days of loan signings and free transfers we need someone who is adept at using this system to our advantage.

I want a team that i recognise. One that has a stable backbone that the team can rely on. I don't want to see a totally new squad every season. That is not what brings success of progression to a club.

    Maybe i expect too much?

The problem this season seems to be that many of the the players brought in have not been good enough at this level and the youngsters that have been given a chace have been too good and moved onwards and upwards. Just can't seem to win! Excuse the term ;)
Agree though that the team has been too unsettled with too many comings and going and would like to see a more settled squad.
