**** OFF YOU BIRMINGHAM WUM! You are a complete and utter moron, not fit to lace the shoes of Grant Holt. Appreciate hard work when you see it, that ****er Welbeck is only in the england squad cos he plays for the ****ing mancs, always a shoe-in. Others such as Graham and Holt and Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ruddy, have more effort in their little finger than ***gots like bent or carroll. Your team is a joke, and after your astounding comment, I would RATHER Leeds or Ipswich get promoted over you, anyday of the week
Anyone that does not share the Supers divine wisdom in all things football is either deluded or ill informed.
When was the last time Rooney was world class for England? and he can't play first 2 games of the Euros Bent is crocked until May Defoe never gets any first team football. I presume you mean Sturridge who has been playing as a winger for a lot of the season and Welbeck who has not exactly been regularly scoring. All we are suggesting is that in form players might be worth a try.
It was this thinking that led to the likes of Zamora, Jarvis and David Nugent getting England caps. David Nugent for ****s sake!
would you say that a premier league striker with 10 goals who has scored against the likes of man utd, liverpool and chelsea a pub player then warky? your local pub teams must be bloody good...
i'm of the opinion that england struggle and will continue to struggle BECAUSE we keep using the same old same old players who don't give two hoots about the national team. am i not right in saying that we won the world cup under ramsey (warky will know this!) by using the players that worked in a system to best effect rather than the 11 best players in the country? by the way, i'm not suggesting england will suddenly win the competition if we pick holt and ruddy but we won't win it with who we have anyway as overall our nation hasn't got enough good players. the only player in my opinion we have who is on the verge of being world class is joe hart.
Supers it may surprise you but I do honestly admire what Holt has achieved but International football is a huge step up from the Premiership (cue the 'you said that last year' comments). The fact is that he has had a very good season but he hasn't had experience of playing competitive European football. There is no way that the England manager will want to experiment with untested rookie players at this late stage and there are plenty of strikers who will be higher up the pecking order (pardon the pun). Just be realistic that's all I'm saying
Carrick is without a doubt one of the leading contenders of "most media over-hyped player of the decade"
finally, a sensible post all i'll say is that fraizer campbell has never played in europe. in fact, he has only played three times in 14 months. if you don't give players a chance in friendlies like this, especially when there are so many injuries, then what is the point? also, it doesn't excuse the ridiculous decision to leave out ruddy at the expense of carson and green. we can all understand that maybe its too late for holt but ruddy is easily the 2nd best english keeper at the moment
i actually agree about parker. he is over rated although i think he is better than you'd suggest. carrick in my opinion is a very good player (not that you'd know it from sunday when he was totally overrun by our midfield) but i think he'd be useful in the england team as the deep lying midfielder as he gets his foot on the ball and we'd keep possession better.
I agree with you that based on season's performances Ruddy deserves a chance to show what he can do and I know you will agree that he is well behind Joe Hart. Holt is a more difficult one in as much as his age is against him and there are clear alternatives who will be more deserving.
