    Can't stand them. Hate it when a match is settled that way! <doh>

    So yesterday I confess I ran upstairs and put ITV on dead loud so I wouldn't have to bear the pain!

    Had I been at Wembley yesterday, I would've put my scarf around my eyes and put my iPod on dead loud.

    Can't hack it. Too much of a scaredy cat.

    The ONLY penalty I couldn't watch was Alonso's in Istanbul.

    I was in a bar in Salamanca. I'd love to say I sang YNWA at half time but all I did was smile weakly at the sympathetic shrugs of the Spanish locals. However I was singing and jumping at 3-2 but just couldn't watch the penalty itself.

    I NEVER cheer or shout at the opposition missing or us scoring each invidual penalty, as most do, I just watch them very nervously but quietly, but when we eventually win the shoot out I go f**kin bananas

    Couldn't watch any of those, either!<doh>

    When we won the FA Cup in 2006 on penalties AGAIN we were at my sister's, I had to go and stand outside! I couldn't get away from it, though, as we were in Liverpool and all the neighbours were cheering!<doh>

    Yesterday I was literally shaking, thought I might have a seizure...!

    Penalties need to be like in Ice hockly, player starts on half way line, keeper on his line then off they go.

    Would be a great spectacle

    Yeah Alonso's penalty was the only one I didn't watch.

    I usually sit there quietly and nervously. I was so worried that Liverpool would miss all of theirs

    I watched the penalties in the 2006 Final at Cardiff sat in the West Ham end. Talk about sitting on your f~~king hands! GKRK

    You bunch of wusses! ;) Man up and watch the pens!

    Maybe I could start a clinic to desensitise people to penophobia!

    Personally I trancend to a calm, peaceful place. Light my josticks, and almost trance like, chant my mantra of "Reeeeiiiiiinnnnnna...Reeeeiiiiiinnnnnna..."


    I get some odd looks in the pub but hey?!

    honestly guys i was i nthe same boat... i nearly flipped when jonhson came up to take one... he took a classic jami carragher pen... anyone rememebr that one right i nthe top of the net way back when ;)
