.. and how NOT to earn brownie points from your manager - http://www.london24.com/sport/championship/qpr_2_5433/johnson_bobby_zamora_can_keep_qpr_up_1_1220594 In a separate article in the Guardian he was reported as saying that his own position at the club " .. are on-going negotiations," . "Hopefully, we will try to tie that up in the coming weeks. Of course I would like to stay. If we can get something done that would be great." Sorry to say AJ, but it doesn't sound at all 'hopeful'.
I don't think there's anything wrong with what he's quoted as saying. It sounds to me like he was just answering whatever questions were put to him - and if the questions included, "Do you think Bobby Zamora will keep QPR up?" I've have been surprised to hear him say, "No, I'd say they're nailed on certainties to go down now they've signed him. I mean, he's a mate and all that but the guy couldn't hit a cow's backside with a banjo."!
Lol, Fulhamish! I had been looking forward to seeing the Pog and AJ play together and on the whole though the v. attacking line up worked well. However, I would say AJ is not a permanent part of that line up and may be seen by Jol as the weakest link. AJ is aware of this and so is keeping his options open for as long as he can. I wonder if things were working out better for Zamora at QPR he'd be more keen to leave or if Zamora's unimpressive performance (both on Saturday and generally as far as I can see) has made AJ realise that the grass isn't always greener? Actually, I wonder if Bobby's realised that too, albeit too late. I joined in the "anti Bobby" Chants with gusto on Saturday but it was nice to see him hugging his former teammates at the end.
Spot on, AJ realises that he is not vital for Fulham and his options in finding a team in London willing to pay his wages are narrowing! As for BZ ha had another poor performance which makes me think that the injury he sustained might have had a longer lasting damage.
