Loads of mistakes there.. that midfield would get over-run and Nolan would be very ineffective IMO at international level. I'll only have Barton starting and Simpson getting a good 30 or so min run-out to show what he's got.. but apart from that I like it, but we all know Gerrard/Lampard will start somewhere if fit.

  2. The only place i'd play Nolan is behind the striker, and i think with his goal scoring talley, he should get a place on the subs bench for a while atleast, and get a 20/30 minute run out, behind is BFF Carroll.

The England squad and starting XI should always be on form though, surely? I cant stand the fact that the likes of Rooney get in every time, no matter how dire form they are in at the time.

Yeah, it wasn't the team I would like to see fielded but it was a purely on-form team - the english players that deserve to be picked

well Capello said that's what he would pick when he got the job but it's obviously not true.. picking Rooney etc. in 2010 after their terrible performances in the PL..

Yeah thats the main thing wrong with the national team and is among the reasons I have pretty much stopped supporting England.

Nah, Ben Foster has solid for Birmingham this season, I'd have him keeper over Harps

Carragher retired after the world cup for a start
Wilshere needs to start, and A.Johnson is injured, along with Walcott. Carroll won't get in, he doesn't score.
If any of Barry, Gerrard and Lampard can walk, they will get in the team. Theres no point supporting England any more - **** manager, **** FA and just generally a **** team.
