  3. Yes, but i'm talking about the sake of England mate. A part of me wouldn't want to risk Barton, but part of me would love to see Joey in an England shirt.

Same, Carroll may not be fit though, Defoe in a bit of form though.

As much as I hate it Barry will play ahead of Barton, and I doubt that Barton will get picked anyway

If it was a qualifier then maybe I would like to see him play but not a pointless friendly

  6. Barry? He's a big, uselss pile of ****. You can't honestly say he's better than Barton? Come on!

  7. It wouldn't be a pointless friendly for Barton, it would be a chance to prove himself and to show Capello what he can do.

    Don't worry about it.

As if anyone, let alone a newcastle fan, would pick Barry ahead of wor Joey

Don't really care about internationals but I would play..

    ---------------Hart----------------

    Johnson---Terry---Jagielka----Baines
    -------Barton---------Lampard-------

    Walcott-------Wilshire-------Lennon

    ------------- Rooney--------------

  14. You think Lennon is better than Johnson? I'm sorry, but Walcott, Wilshire and Lennon in attack is extremely weak to me, not one of them has a hint of aggression or strength. They'd get swamped. No of them can play long balls well, they are all the same sort of player.

I think Wileshire can play long balls excellently. Besides, that's why I'd have Lamps and Barton playing behind, to feed to the wings for a cross in to Rooney (and protect the back four), or in Lennons case to cut inside (like he did against us at SJP). Baines would also provide overlapping runs and brilliant crosses in, but we'd have the backup of Wileshires passing down the middle too. And on second thoughts, I'd swap Jagielka with Dawson. Maybe I thought about this too much

Barry isn't ****, he's just awfully average nowadays. Barry(Villa days) was one of the finest PL midfielders(See how good he was when Villa were challenging for the top tour back in the O'Neil days).

Johnson might be fit but you cant put him in the squad if he hasnt earned it through good form in the league. Too many players get in automatically and the England side is ruined by it.

  19. Well he's taking a spot for a better player or a one in form atleast.

true, I haven't seen him play in a while but he always seemed very good late 2010, him scoring against us at city an example
so what would a purely on-form english team be? i'd go for..

    Foster
    Simpson Terry Dawson Baines
    Barton Wileshire Nolan Lennon
    Rooney Bent

that's just off the top of my head, probably mistakes in there, feel free to comment
