Even if we get a loan striker in now it may be too little too late, NB should have been pro-active IMO The championship is far too unpredictable to say we should be getting 7 points from the next 3. I would be ecstatic with that return (& amazed due to our lack of goals).
Looking through all the March fixtures for the top 10, by the time we have played Coventry @ home on the 31st the top 6 could well be much changed from what it is now. The first game that sticks out for me though for now is tomorrows game between Middlesboro v. Reading. DRAW please will do us fine.
Again, you're looking at other teams to help us out. Yes it would be nice if teams in and around us drop points but if we are not winning games it becomes irrelevant because we will be cast adrift. A win against Blackpool changes everything though!
indeed it does. Yes we do have to win our games but i also am not averse to our rivals dropping points either.
You've got to be patient and reasonable, a draw against Blackpool would be a good result anyway, we'd still be out side the play-offs but it's a hard fixture.. the only important league table is end of season.
I agree, a draw against Blackpool would be a good result. However, the other side of the argument is, we need to beat a couple of teams above us if we are to be considered serious playoff contenders.
we have games in hand which i know have to be won. but from what ive seen of late Middlesboro, Brighton and Blackpool will fall short. That leaves the other 6 clubs (incl. Hull City) to battle it out. Crystal Palaces draw @ West Ham on saturday just proves the point. March will see so many points dropped.....But by whom ? Let the fun begin starting with Blackpool v. Hull City on friday night. UTT
Fair play to your continued optimism but from what I have seen of late it may be us that falls short. Like you say though March will make or break us
Brighton W5 D3 L0. Blackpool W5 D2 L1(the only loss being against West Ham). Some slide those two are on. Boro have dropped a bit of late, but there's absolutely no sign of any drop-off with the other two, Brighton are top of the form table ffs.
Brighton are top of the form table and we should have buried them, which re-iterates why we may well fall short
imo, i just think they will. Of the top 10 clubs now,,, i see TWS as spoilers and Middlesboro, Blackpool, Brighton all falling short. That leaves the rest incl. us. As for the final order they finish ? only time will tell.
I know what you said, I'm just pointing out that you have no reason for saying thinking they will fall short, other than your usual blind optimism. You've been claiming Southampton would fall off a cliff for months, yet they're still top of the league, the same will happen with the others you're now writing off.
TFT and westhulltiger are demonstrating the extremes of City supporter's views, from fanciful optomism down to depressing pessimism.
