We are in phase 1 of a rebuild. Fergie has had 26(?) years, Kenny has had 1. Rafa took LFC within a inch of winning the league, at that point if we had pushed on we would have been a serious threat, but H&G where more intrested in $$$$. Yes our league position is bad for a club of our stature, but we have a new group of players and are no the finished article, we will continue to improve to the point when we will be winning titles and more trophies, it's just a matter of time my Mancunian friend. Today was just a nice little bonus, would swap it for three points to be honest.

Good luck Replacing Scholes, Giggs, Ferdinand, Evra, De Gea, Vidic in the not too distant future, hopefully the debt will ease up a bit for you. Must be annoying seeing City doing so well though, eh?

Nearly as bad as the 26 years you spent circling the drain. You had to go two better by getting demoted from the top flight, and never winning the European cup in that time, we just can't compete with that level of failure!

Ku Klux Kenny can be happy, The Dippers board of directors will keep him on for another season, even when they finish 7th.

    Stoke to win 2-1

A bit like your club which cared so little for the tin pot FA Cup that it ****ed it off to go chase the massively important world club championship? <laugh>

What kind of plastic fan doesn't want success in every domestic trophy they enter then proceed to disrespect teams like Cardiff who were a total credit to themselves and footy in general <ok>

Had we lost you lot would have loved it...but we won...and I for one am ****ing loving it.

    Morning all,

I see a few Liverpool fans have been on here getting over excited <ok>

You won a trophy well done < clap> I didn't actually watch the game but it sounds like you were the better team.

Foredeck, you have just won the Carling Cup, your first trophy in 6 years. Congratulations on winning it but you or any other Liverpool fan telling us it's going to common practice United not to be winning things is a joke surely ?

Anyway welldone on your trophy <ok>

Fair play, the last time I witnessed a team celebrating a barely deserved penalty shoot out win of a domestic trophy like they'd just won the league was Arsenal, in the FA cup.

They thought it would be common practice too. <ok>

Last time I witnessed it was yesterday when Giggs scored, players and fans going mad as if they had just won the champions league. Last gasp winner against a newly promoted Norwich team.

Who was it that knocked you out of the Carling Cup? a league one side <doh>

    1. i'm loving the rather irate utd fans <party><nahnah>

    2. not sure all that was siad but lfc fans show a bit of calss and be good winners like kenny said.

    3. As this thread is about banter I presume a few guys who don't normally come along here did so on the weeked but that comment as highlighted by king eric is way out of order.

    Scrappy goals? Check

    Penalty Shootout? Check

Yep - it was definitely another classic Liverpool final <ok>

You can't fault Dirk Kuyt's technique for the goal. Top drawer stuff.

Are Palace a league one side ?

How did you get on against the newly promoted Norwich team ?

    FAIL

To be honest it doesn't matter how you win trophis as long as you do win them so congrats for that. i'd just try to show a bit more humility as you never know it may be another 6 years until your next one.

Good morning everybody. There's been some expectedly bitter and twisted banter in ny absence. I'm obviously delighted with the result, but would have preferred it if we'd converted a few more of the 19 shots we had on target into goals, and done more with the 65% possession we enjoyed. Anyway I, for one, certainly hope this does prove to be a catalyst in our continuing development.

It was an enjoyable match for a neutral, I would imagine, but when it went to pens, I was very nervous with our record in that area this season. And when Gerrard had his saved <doh> I thought the writing was on the wall. Anyway, we did it, but Cardiff deserve great credit for their effort and perseverence and I commend them.

Had a call from Sky at around 12.30 pm. He was well revved up for it and I'm sure he had a fantastic time with young Jack. I was hoping for a spuds victory in the pre-match warm-up, but instead, they got twatted. It makes it even more important that we do them at the weekend.

Am I right in thinking that King Eric is actually Daveunited?
