I've been known to order a cup of tea in a pub!!! They weren't happy for some reason.

Morning all from a mild looking Bandit Country - stayed at home today to look after Mrs W_Y who is still quite poorly.

What is all this teetotaler stuff going on in The Nest? Fair enough before the sun gets over the yard arm! - AK, looks like we need to set up a coffee lounge for those that do not imbibe!

If anything you would expect FIFA to be stricter on Welsh teams playing in England BECAUSE both countries are part of the UK. The reason FIFA allows teams to play in other countries is that it is considered good for the development of football in the smaller country. This argument is a lot weaker when - in the eyes of many outside of Europe - four parts of the same country are being uniquely treated as separate entities.

Morning all from a very noisy house in rural France. You tend to forget just how much volume three small persons can create. Still Mme will be out for the afternoon and the girls are going to the swimming pool, so I will have the estate to myself and hope to get down the far field and do some preparation for the growing season. All of the stores have seed potatoes sat in bags or boxes, some of them showing healty shoots, but because of the snow that we had I am way behind.:(

Dreadful morning. Even now two defeats against Southampton no goals scored and Ricky Lamert got five!

The Nest is a normal bar where you can drink almost what you wish. It is not an English public house where the only drinks available are spirits and Astrálian fizz. We have coffee or tea but we will happily serve proper European bier and real ale at any time so do not worry.

    <ale> for you W_Y

    Morning all

Thanks for the Coffee Ak pleased to hear its a proper European Bar, that means it is open now so a nice Armagnac would be a treat with my coffee and may help this sore throat and cough I've got.

Spent the last four days going round Nursing Care Homes in Kent looking for somewhere suitable for my Mum, she has dementia/alzheimer's and has come to the stage she needs 24 hour care for her own safety.

It made me sit down and think how short our lives are really, I've always thought of my Mum as being young and then suddenly there I am 60 years old. Still as Frank Cappra once said 'It's a Wonderful Life'
