There is absolutely nothing wrong with the colour of your skin ( mine is pinkish ) Gills got rid of you because your football
contribution to the club was rubbish.
You are deluded if you think that the 'black' players at the club are treated differently to others. You have embarrassed yourself even further in a pathetic attempt to extort even more money out of the club - who gave you heaps of cash for nothing in return. Hang your head in shame.

Think I'll have to with hold my thoughts on this until after the verdict has been given. Very disappointing though and who ever the verdict goes against should be punished accordingly.

 

Feel sorry for football today, that it has been made a scapegoat for the racist bandwagon that is so evident now !

Read the article properly before commenting, McCammon isn't claiming Gills got rid of him because he's black, he's saying he received disproportionate fines, pay cuts etc. I am intrigued to see the outcome of this.

 

He is using the system for his gain.His career is over and looking for income.In my opinion he is the laziest player ever to play for Gillingham football club.Race or colour does not enter the equation,he was a total waste of space and money.He always thought he was a bit special,couldnt even be bothered to move about on the half time warm up when he was sub.Hope he is feeling guilty but i doubt it.

 

The mail article does state that McC is suing for racial discrimation and unfair dismissal.

Does kind of give the impression that he feels his contract wasn't renewed because of his colour. The fact that 52 league appearances and 5 goal in 3 season was not good enough to warrant a new contract. Unfair dismissal????? Seriously?

And just another thought about him having to train with the youth, didn't Stimson do something very similar to Bentley and Mulligan and pretty much force out Crofts sending him to non league Wrexham?

 

I think this is mad, he took his time on this one, must be short of cash at the moment, and also does he not understand that he didn't play well and due to this he was not in the team, no he sees that as he is being left out due to his colour, what an idiot, how dare he say what he has said.

 

Absolute disgrace, i nearly threw my corn flakes at the TV this morning when it cam on Sky Sports News.

It has nothing to do with the colour of your skin Mark, you are utterly s***, hence why you were treated differently. Be interesting to see if Gills call players like Simeon, Jo K4, Gavin Tomlin, Curtis, Oli etc to act as character references for the club, I doubt the longer serving players would stay if we were a racist club.

Trying to make a name for yourself by bringing the club down is disgusting, when's Braintree's next match?!

 

silv sort it out, practice what you preach, as you say....read the article before you comment on this yourself and other opinions...he's claiming that he's been discriminated against, because of the colour of his skin...hence being treated unfairly and saying in no uncertain terms...that colour matters !

i wonder if simeon jackson, curtis weston, dennis oli, stanley aborah, albert jarrett, andy barcham, bayo akinfenwa etc etc etc were made an example of...very much doubt it, because no club or manager would succeed with that outtake on life or in there profession to even get as far as they have up the football ladder and byond !

the guy is a disgrace, any person as a footballer...be it whatever colour...who does not show any attempt to want to play or train as they should have over 3 whole years, would be shown the door for just that...nothing more, but no this guy is trying to use this to his advantage and jump on the bandwagon that is....end of !!!

I can't believe how flippantly some of you are reacting to this, this is a very serious case which could have a massive impact on the whole game. I seriously hope nothing like this really happens but McCammon has real grievences with the club and this needs to be looked into.

MMc has taken the recent race debate to a new level. Obviously a single case, what he's doing in playing the race card is just as bad as the Suarez incident, totally unacceptable. Scally should be able to sue his ass for this ridiculous accusation; injury to the chairman's ego!

 

Everyone - it is quite clear I am personally keeping out of this topic for the earlier reasons already explained. I just urge you all to be very careful with your comments. The site allows you to debate freely but with that still comes responsibility and always the chance of personal accountability.

the guy has had a chip on his shoulder from day one and now wants to make gillingham fc pay, because they saw what sort of a lay a about he was...if only a little to late.

do you really think other players like jackson, barcham, weston, oli etc, would or would of still be here if that was what sort a club we were....GET A GRIP and stop telling people to take it more serious, when they understand it whole lot better than you know or makeout...your the one who's lacking !

 

McCammon is going to sue the Daily mail because in their article they labelled him as a STRIKER !!! ......very offensive IMO

 

The sad thing is, bogus claims like this have an adverse affect on actual valid claims. There is still racism in football and there is still a way to go to eradicate it. False Claims like this are just going to make that harder, people will start to take less notice of actual real incidents. McCammon has put the KROF cause back. This has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with cynical opportunism to make a few quid.
