After seeing Stoke reach the Semi-finals and a trip to Wembley on the cards, is this the best time to play them?

I say yes, it is the best time to play them.

None of the Stoke players will want to get booked, although confidence is high, we have seen before with Birmingham that the league form gets ****ed when you get this far in a cup competition. Stoke fans will argue against this, but surely they can see that this is a good time for us, I am sure they would say the same if the shoe were on the other foot.

They will be wanting to impress, but Stoke's team pretty much picks itself, two wingers, two big strikers, a 35 year old who makes up the numbers when the ball is in play, and is only good on throw-ins.

We are better suited to playing Stoke than most teams, as we know how to battle, Tiote will dominate the midfield again, the only problem we have is what every other team has, the set-pieces.

Stoke will still be on a huge high, and we have seen it many times before that they are brought straight back down to earth after a great cup win. Lets hope so, a point would be fantastic, 3 would be unbelievable.

It's never a good time to play Stoke at rugby. Thankfully though we're playing them at football. I just hope they send the right team.

As long as our 11 players turn up in the right attitude and dont get bullied
    then we will do well

As long as our CBs can mop up cross after cross (be it from throw-ins or wingers) we should be fine.

Our midfield is miles better, and when on form, our defence is solid.

I can see Stoke still being on a high from reaching Wembley.
Don't think their minds will be on the game

    2-0 to the Toon

Think it will give them a lift especially after the poor League results recently.

Their league form isn't great at the moment and they might be slightly distracted because of the fa cup run. On the other hand we haven't played well yet this season after we've had a bit of a break and we will probably struggle to get eleven players out so I think any advantages will be cancelled out.

Will be more than happy with a point to be honest but fear we may lose this one!

Hopefully Stoke will have their mind on the cup and it won't be as tough as it might have been. I'm going for a 2-1 to us.

  13. The ****ing annoying thing is, is normally when i'm optimistic, we lose, when i'm realistic or negative about a game, we usually get an unexpected point or a win.

Fingers crossed hope your right, though personally I disagree. I'll happily be wrong on Saturday evening.

Not sure if I'm honest. I just hope we play our game instead of trying to play their style.

Same here, though I did tip us to beat Villa at home, right at the beginning of the season.

  17. With all these players out, i'll be extremely happy with a point. My honest prediction is 3-1 to Stoke. Sorry.

I'd be happy with a point as well. Though I think 2-1 Stoke.
