Crowd did us grand at half-time with the rendition of YNWA, no doubt hoped it would work as well as it did in 2005. I loved the amount of coverage the BBC gave the don't buy the sun posters, I doubt Sky were so generous ;-)
A mixture of woo and few. A nervous and tense game, and I was still in shock a bit after the game ended. But we did it!!! Some major errors need addressing, but not dwell on that now. We won the cup!! Player ratings: Reina - 6 Made a few saves, had a couple of flaps. Had a good presence for shoot out, though he didnt touch the ball. Johnson - 6 Work the line well, always involved, hit the bar early on. Skrtel - 8 Brilliant. Made some key blocks and tackles, scored a goal. Agger - 5 Generally ok, but made a rare mistake that put us in a lot of danger. Shame about the injury. Enrique - 6 Reliable as usuall. Henderson - 4 Surprised by him. Missed some big chances and let it get to him, got booked and had to come off. Gerrard - 6 Safe performance, a few wide shots. missed penalty. Not classic Gerrard, but still Gerrard. Adam - 6 Generally good, a few close shots and well involved through out. A few ott passes, a rash tackle and an awful penalty. Downing - 8 Impressive. Used his pace, added width, put some good balls in, neat penalty. Suarez - 6 Some nice skills, but constantly crowded out by cardiff defense. Lacked support. Carroll - 5 Used muscle well, especially for Skrtels goal. To hesitant at key moments. Lacked support. Subs: Carragher -6 Kuyt - 7 Bellamy - 6 Conclusion - won trophy =

Glad I just watched the game today and didnt bother coming on this site. The number of bitter twats that were on this match thread is ridiculous. Will probably just hang about on LFC.TV forum boards from now on. Great game today...Maximum respect to Cardiff, they played out of their skins. We were the better side as the stats show, just wasteful in front of goal and did it the hard way as per usual. Its going to be a nice evening this evening and look forward to this lifting us for the rest of the season. So glad we are back in the silverware, thought all our players were very humble and respectful of Cardiffs efforts at the end
