    Ha ha.

It's not the protest that amuses me, it's the fact they went fromr the Strawberry to the sign, help me out Mags, 12-20 metres, tops?

Yeah that's a pointless protest and a half-hearted one at best. Its like a few mates were having a beer and decided it would be a grand thing to do after their next round...

    ****ing embarrassing.

Had a right go at some lad who is part of a 'UtdforNewcastle' group, people who think their opinion represents the voice of the fans. This lad helped organise this joke.

To dress up as a Priest, and have a funeral for a building name is beyond a joke, and is a mockery to the meaning of a funeral and a coffin.

This lad said at least he was doing something, made him more of a fan than me apparently. So because I didn't play fancy dress, me not missing a home game in 11 years and an away one in 5 Years falls into insignificance, I'm obviously a **** fan because I didn't play out with them.

I'll laugh with you at these bastards.

    So you should mate.

'we'll mak a protest leek, but divvn't mak it too lang, cas i'm fat as fook i can't carry an empty coffin hew...'

Everybody, including us Mackems, knows the name St James Park won't die, just makes it more embarrasing for these chumps.

Embarrassing for everyone involved, why can't they get it through their heads that the name st james' park is no more (apart from exeter city, who play in red and white), their home is the sports direct arena and that's that. They should move on

Nah, their intentions and beliefs are spot on, but the way they go about things are embarrassing.

I heard the Council aren't changing the road signs to the SDA, which I thought was quite cool. As for the name change, the mackem part of me is laughing merrily away, but the football fan is a bit narked that another bit of football heritage is being sacrificed on the altar of the mighty buck.

I'd be foaming if SAFC fans went on like this! As you said their intentions were good but that's just so easy for the rest of the country to mock and with other thing's that have happened in the past few years, you've got a nice little stereotype there.

Not missing a home game in 11 years and away in 5 years - class support.
