I seem to have more or less fixed Deportivo's financial situation. The debt is still there, but it is manageable. Narrowly avoided relegation in my first season in La Liga, which was quite an achievement considering I could only afford players with salaries under 20k (with the exception of Guardado). Now in my second season in La Liga I'm 5th in December and have beaten Barcelona, despite still being pretty restricted by the wage budget. Woah! What happened, and in what year? In my save which reached 2030, Real and Barca are both slightly worse than they are now but still mostly dominant. Atletico have picked up a few trophies and Malaga and Betis (weird, right?) have each won the league once.
2019 they finished 7th in the 2012 season sacked Mourinho. Then brought in some Italian manager, he brought in Cavani, Lavazzi, Hernandez, Maicon, Hulk, Tevez and Hummels all in one season. Next season after that they brought Lucio, Neymar and Leandro. They never sold a player and never finished in the top 3 until last year. Have sacked like 5 managers in a row aswell.

It is boring because it is so easy, in my first save with them I went the whole season unbeaten thanks to the amount of money you get. Got my first youth intake and had 4 5* potential players and about 5 other "good" premiership potential players. The worst youth intake I had in 6 seasons was 1 5* potential and 3 good prem players. I won the Premiership in the 3rd season and won everything in the 4th. Saints are overated with the amount of money they get and the academy. Maybe I just got lucky with the youth but its been like this ever since Markus took over, so the last 3/4 versions, the researcher is overating the clubs finances and therfore ruining the game for me.
When was the latest steam patch released? I've not played the game for a few months but I'd quite fancy starting a new game with Tad Lee and Sharp in the team.
What is this based on? Saints have just sold Chamberlain for £12m rising to £15m and have a rich owner that has been spending heavily in the club. Have one of the best academies in England and are currently constructing one of the best training grounds in England. The sugar daddy box isn't even ticked for FM12. So how have I overrated these things? If anything it is the squad that is underrated, and this has been addressed for the next update.
I've discovered so many awesome (and cheap) players recently. I'd love to know if these guys are as good on other people's saves or if I've just got lucky. That Bashkim Kadrii was a flop for me, he can play everywhere but done nothing else, but Micheal vorm (my current saints GK) got send off, so had to play kadrii in goal, brilliant got MAN OF THE MATCH WTF. no joke
I got Fabio (the Man U one). And a newgen midfielder for £16.5m Not even sure why I am playing this because I have a massive project which I haven't done. Maybe it will just go away.
