No idea what Redknapp was thinking with the starting tactics and especially the 2nd half set up. Suicidal choices. Should've played our normal game. Well beaten and we'll need to get a win next week to avoid being dragged back into the fight for fourth.
There's no way Spurs will beat ManUre; we all know Harry's record of bending over and taking it up the arse for Purple Nose.
Sat back when undeservedly 2-0 up. Can't do that against any team let alone in a NL derby. Got what we deserved on the day - will be interesting to see the response, but without Parker v ManUre it will be tough. Oh well - still 7 points ahead I suppose.....
Few positives on the pitch or off it frankly. Glad that Sandro is back in contention, but was off the pace not surprisingly, which makes me wonder why he was over committing so far forward.....
It wasn't a good challenge by Parker but I'm glad he stayed around to offer his hand to TV who accepted it with good grace. I don't think for a moment Scott Parker to be a dirty player. Boy didn't we need this result though. Last night before I hit the sack I thought we would win but who would have expected this? I'm sure we'll take a win any which way it comes
Very good performance from Arsenal, I think the perceived injustice of the penalty really got them playing. They suddenly started to play with pace and close us down very well. Dean was very lenient on fouls from both sides: but we just didn't seem up for it at all. Very disappointing. If both teams play like that for the rest of the season then we'll finish below Arsenal. I could see the point of Harry's changes but Sandro was nothing like his real self and Van der Vaart never got to grips with the pace and it just left us with no cover on the wings. Benny had his worst game for ages - dire clearance for the Van Persie goal ( what a left foot that guy has) and didn't stay with Walcott's run for the 4th goal.
Come on you didnt sit back at all - you were totally destroyed. Great season for Spurs, but today Arsenal were by far the better team. Our inconsistency kills us but when we play like that its unstoppable. Unfortunately for us its not often enough.
Fair to say whaty a transformation. The 2 teams were unrecognisable after the opening exchanges, dunno what happened to Spurs, I thought we were going to get whopped.
Agree PS Van der Vaart was largely anonymous and Benny was very poor, Parker too did not boss the midfield as he usually does. You could tell at 2-0 that we had become complacent with players smiling after making errors because they thought the game was over. Disappointing result but Arsenal were always going to be more up for this game than us given their recent disappointments.
Agree with most but to single BAE out is just plain wrong. No-one covered themselves in glory -including Leds and Kaboul. We sat back at 2-0 and paid the price. We lost AS A TEAM!!
Yeah, lets not get on Parker - thats just how he plays - on the edge. We should however be highlighting Bale's cheating. He is doing it game after game and the media want to ignore it. I cant help thinking about what happened to Eduardo when he dived in very similar circumstances.
No offence - you deserved to win - but we started fast and got the early goal. We started slowing down THEN and the 2nd goal came against the run of play. After that destruction took hold.
We were very poor today. Lacked shape and any width. Arsenal did to us what we have been doing to teams this year. I can understand why he made the substitutions but they just didn't work. Too many players had a bad day today and for once I'll include Ledley King in that.
I was thinking that the other day. It was a travesty that so much of the media got on Eduardo's back and considering he had been the victim of such a harsh challenge himself. At times, there just ain't no justice in this world.
Fair play - make the most of it!! As far ascI am aware there weren't too many of us expecting a massacre - either way!!
