What is our best stiker combination???

We have 5 different forwards at the club (Best, Shola, Lover, Kuqi, Ranger), but of them, which is the best combination, presuming we play 2 up front.

Personally, I think it is Best and Lovenkrands, because they seem to link up well and are different.

In a couple of years, it will be Best and Ranger. Until then, Nile needs loaning out somewhere.

Thoughts?

 

I'd say currently it's Best and Lovenkrands and that worries me...

 

I'd prefer to see Best & Ranger up top, Lovenkrands has proven lately that he isnt up to this standard of football anymore.

 

We aren't exactly spoilt for choice in the strikers department, an issue that needs addressing. However Lover was absolutely pants in his last game and needs to know it isn't acceptable. I'd play Ranger in front of him now.

 

This. Although I think next season it'll most likely be NEW ST + BEST/NEW ST, hopefully with the oldies/past it guys like Kuqi, Shola and Lover making space then Ranger can be competition/cover.

Possibly, but what if Ranger comes in and is equally useless. We couldn't then bring Lover in, coz he'll think that he only plays because Nile is rubbish. Then we'll be stuck with Shola and Best up front, and they don't play well together.

 

The thing is they're team mates, they train together and play together, it's up to AP to get them sorted out. They should be able to play with each other!

Best and Lover. I want to see this improving, but i personally think it's a decent upfront pair. They link up well, Lover has good vision and passing to aid our attacking play, Best is decent in the air, good ball control and scores goals, and they both link up well together.

 

Loven is not cutting it.

Ranger has not been given his start.
Sholaimadonkey is still good at control, holding and heading.

As for the line-up you have mentioned, it has to be Best and Ranger, if Ranger can find his way. Lovenkrands ****ing blows ass. Strikers are there to score goals. I couldn't give a balls if he's 'linking up well'. If he isn't scoring goals as he's supposed to, then he should be replaced.

 

I'm a huge fan of Best so he'd be in my team every time. ATM Lovenkrands is starting to fall back a bit and although he has had some great games this season i think Ranger should be the next choice

 

Best and Ameobi. Only two that score on a semi-regular basis.

Ranger for me needs two things. A loan for regular first team football where he can build his confidence infront of goal and secondly to sort his attitude out. I still haven't forgotten his reaction when he missed that sitter against West Ham. Nolan's face in that match said it all. Also turning up late for training on a regular basis is not acceptable.

 

If strikers are there to score goals how can you put a player who hasn't scored and freezes infront of goal against players who have netted this season?
