Morning, all. Just a helpful watch-your-bets note for today.

VIOLIN DAVIS is entered in the DN Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham, currently about 20/1, and probably won't win.

VIOLA DAVIS is nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars tonight, currently 4/7-ish, and probably will win.

There are superficial resemblances: age (6 in equine, 46 in human) and configuration (both generally described as good-topped mares). The best way to tell them apart is that the Viola is larger and has a deeper/warmer tone. And the two are differently tuned: Violin GDAE, Viola CGDA.

That's all, and I hope it helps. And you could of course consider the no-strings 32-1 double.

Finally, what's the difference between a viola player and a dressmaker ? A dressmaker tucks up all the frills.

A decent days racing today, however, one that catches my eye runs in the 4.45 Fontwell Park, SIRCOSY 13/2 has slipped down the weights and with 5lb cliamer Josh Moore on board he runs today off a cracking mark and has more than enough to beat what is on offer today.

Whilst in the two Bumpers i like MENINTIGHTS 11/2 and LOMBARD LIGHT 12/1 (EW) who is related to a Bumper winner.

    What Paul Nicholls says bout ;

    15.40 Fontwell
    The Knoxs

The handicapper raised him a colossal 18lb for winning on his reappearance at Exeterr, so we tried him in Grade 2 company against Oscar Whisky next time and then switched him to fences off a mark of 139 at Sandown last time. Dropped away very tamely from three out there, so we step him down in trip and back to hurdles here. Has chances on his Exeter win and I think 2m4f could just be ideal for him.

Hobbs has had a terrible season so far.

If Fingal Bay is out of Cheltenham then he will need some massive bounce back to form from Menorah, Captain Chris, Wishful Thinking etc.

Prince De Beauchene is definitely good enough to win the National Wooly. However, his jumping didn't entirely convince yesterday and at this stage he looks plenty short enough.

Hobbs' season appears to be fallling apart at the seams with Sadler's Risk getting beat yesterday as well - his supposed 'best chance at the Festival'.

He's just a trainer that you can never write off because he has a habit of producing the goods when it matters. It wouldn't be a surprise at all if he banged in a winner of two.

Just managed to check, cheers lads.

Always been Arbuthnot in NH racing though right?

Let's cut to the chase though, todays selections:

Fontwell 3:40 TOPOLSKI 10/1 E.W Had time to freshen up after a very disappointing return. Hopefully will be in better order today and if he is, he ought to go well. He should enjoy the smaller field and less hustle and bustle today and hopefully he will settle and show some fluency at his hurdles, because early mistakes have totally cost him the last twice.

1.45 Naas: CAPTAIN'S DILEMMA 12/1 e.w- Travelled really well for a long way behind Bat Masterton last time and if building on that comeback ought to be playing a hand in the finish in a race like this, especially with the market leaders having a few doubts.

2.15 Naas: SPORTSMASTER 11/8 (NAP) a 9 length defeat in the Grade 1 won by Hisaabaat is very good form in the context of this race and hopefully can regain the winning thread today.
