Oh of course not (although in our defence, our last two away games were against Birmingham and West Ham, and we avoided defeats in both), I was just pointing out that it's not just recently that our away form has been poor. That said though, win your home games and draw your away games, and you'll finish with 92 points - which should easily be enough for automatic promotion. And until our winter blip at home (defeats to Bristol City and Leicester, and draws to Blackpool and Cardiff), we were bang on course to achieve that. Those ten points dropped could end up biting us on the bum - and at the very least, have put pressure on us to average slightly more than one point per away from here on in.
Saints and Hornets alike have already established that you are a Portsmouth/L*t*n supporting paed... sorry, prick. But even if we believe that you do support Saints, no fan of a club that has ever been managed by Graeme Souness has any right to say anything bad about the personality of any other manager.
Must say, this forum is great and it's good to see Watford fans interacting with Southampton fans. Only one bad thing about this thread, the posts from 'redandwhitecomrade' are symbolic of the reason many turned away from either 606 or SaintsWeb. Yes we are Southampton and yes we are doing well, but we have no "divine right" as you put it to belittle the other clubs around us, below us, or above us. Use justified reasons and arguments rather than just calling people names and acting as if we are unbeatable. If we fail to win you just leave yourself open to return abuse. Hoping for a good game but more importantly 3 points tomorrow Watford fans, all the best after this one game!
Davis - £1.1m - Probably worth less because of age, but he's more than repaid it over the last few seasons Richardson - Can't actually remember, certainly less than £1m Fonte - £1.3m Hooiveld - around £1.2m, may be wrong Fox - £1.8m Harding - Free Martin - sod all Lallana - Academy Morgan - £1.3m Cork - £800k rising to £2m Hammond - £650k Chaplow - £50k Puncheon - about £250k I think Guly - £500k? Sharp - £1.85m Lambert - £1.2m Lee - Free + Various costs Might be a bit out with some of the fees, but it certainly wasn't cheap and it's not like we pay them peanuts either. Looking at Leicester, its good value for money though.
Apparently they're looking at loaning Matt Mills out. Cracking piece of business that £5 million was. (Although that said, I'd bring him back here on loan in an instant).
I am sure we spend what we can afford as would the Watford manager some clearly like to spend more like West Ham and Leicester and if squad cost was the criterea for success these two would be 10 or fifteen points ahead of us.Some managers often play it like this post game as a potential excuse if things go wrong in the game ahead
Maybe you should show some respect to others before expecting any back. also, I would totally agree that all of our starting XI have a value of £1m+ which is what I think Dyche meant, (maybe not Davis due to age), I don't think he was making a jibe at us about our finances.
If I remember correctly, Kelv was £700k, Richardson was £450k, I think Guly's clause was €1m, so £800k ish? Other than that I think you're spot on.
Hate to say but... I told you so. Your side were pummelled by a superior, efficient, and yet underperforming Saints 11. We were not at our best and yet we annihilated your side... so much so that your team decided to kick ours off the park and play rugby to try and compete, and in doing so injured one of our players (well done... morons). respect... something your team didn't have today, you were completely outclassed in a way that I said you would be.
And whatever they're worth now, our manager is priceless...just seen him on iPlayer FLS....so enthusiastic, we'll do well to hang on to him
Adkins enjoyed it because the team got a result under different circumstances than we have at SMS. We weren't able to play with our normal style, but that doesn't mean we were poor, we just had to play the situation. Shows the strength of the players. If he carries on enjoying himself, I don't see why we should lose Adkins. Perhaps he's our Ferguson.
£11m ? That's change out of Oxos transfer fee then? Look at the current value of the players we've sold over the last few years! I think that entitiles us to spend a little?
Actually the match was an even affair. Our keeper cocked up for the first goal. Or defence gifted Lambert space for the 2nd and the 3rd was not a pen. You can see that Dickinson is just stronger than Lee and Lee falls over, doing a dramatic somersault in the process. View attachment 11128 I will not rise to the rest of your comments. I am bigger than that.
Here are the promised autograph pics just in case you cant see them on the MT View attachment 11129 View attachment 11130 View attachment 11131
