Raheem Sterling is boss, probably the fastest player on the books and skilful too.

Ngoo went from being embarrassingly bad to pretty damn good within the space of a few months. Like Sterling, he needs to establish himself in the reserves and let's see how he does at that level.

Silva and Wisdom come into that category too. Need to get in the reserve side and show they can do it at that level, and then who knows.

Ince was on loan at Notts County. He's back now, because his dad was being an arse about us giving him a new contract.

Suso is 17 and untested at the highest level. From what I have seen of him, he's a little raw and some of his decision making needs work, but I see a player with near flawless technique who has the time and the backing to develop the other areas of his game that tend to develop more naturally with most footballers, such as strength and fitness. He reminds me a lot of Messi, and if handled right, could go on to emulate some of the achievements of the more illustrious Argentine.

Pacheco needs regular first team football now. It's unlikely that he will get that here at the moment, but I would not get shot of him. Sign him to a contract for 3-4 years, and send him on loan to the right TOP FLIGHT club to see how he gets on

Coady will come through in midfield, and may well end up in the back four eventually. He'll make it here.

I said about a year ago that John Flanagan will make it here, and I'm even more confident about that now. Unlike most of the other lads, Flanagan has proved himself at reserve level. He's a bit like Gary Neville, apart from not being a whiny little **** obviously. Jack Robbo has a very good chance too.

Also wouldn't rule out Andre Wisdom, and Tony Silva if he can become a bit more consistent.

I think Amoo has scored in the last few games... Can't be too sure though I just remember seeing something on the Ressies on LFCTV...

Difficult to say how Spearing & Coady compare, as Jay was playing in about six different positions and didn't really get a run in centre mid until he made the reserves. *He was class in midfield, right back, left back and he's actually a brilliant centre half. Pretty sure I saw him play right wing too, and then when he moved up to the ressies he played behind the striker and did really well.

Coady has the international pedigree, whereas Jay never got in a look in with England, which is ridiculous really given how good he was as an Academy player. *Heighway absolutely loved him, and I noticed some comments from Kenny yesterday about how you only realise his quality when you work with him every day. *People who play with Spearing love him, as he's a leader and a very clever player.

It says a lot about how good Jay is that he's gotten as far as he has despite his lack of size. * Most lads of his size and build playing centre mid wouldn't have gotten this far.

Coady has a great build so he doesn't have to overcome that, and he's coming along very nicely. *I'm surprised he's not been picked much for the reserves though, and he may end up being fast tracked straight into the first team set up without having to spend a couple of years in the ressies.

I'd love to see Sterling get in the first team next season, he would give us a different option and may save us some money as surely he is the winger we are looking for.

With all of therse players making the step up from the Youth team to the Reserves and the the fringe of the first team, do we have any exciting propects currently in the youth team that will be making the reserves in 2-3 years time?

Out of the current crop, from what I've heard the next two likely to make it are Coady and Flanagan. Both have developed physically moreso than some of the others. And this is a key area.Suso and Sterling are a little bit short of the physical side to make it yet.

I think modern players do have to be more physical but sometimes think that speed and good balance can compensate for strength, as I said in my previous post I'd like to se Sterling given the chance next year that speedy, tricky winger is just what we need. I'd agree with you on Suso as he playes in the center where strength is more important.
