    Morning one and all,

Woke up this morning and was genuinely excited by the prospect of the game today, gutted to not be present there as I reckon that this could be a proper premiership derby. All the ingredients are there for a full bloodied encounter:

QPR are going to be smarting about the thrashing they got at the Cottage. That said they are stronger as a squad since January.

Mark Hughes is their new manager. Hughes is not particularly liked by the Fulham faithful after leaving so strangly in the summer.

Bobby Zamora. Another wierd move from Fulham to the Ha's.

Throw into the equation that QPR are desperate for a win, having only won once in the last 13 premiership games. We are going to have to retain possesion of the ball early in this game and stamp our authority and control the game. Hughes appears to have let Buzsaky and Mackie show off their skills and they will be a threat so defensively we will have to be on our guard. Obviously, Zamora will pose a threat but hopefully Brede will be able to deal with him.

For me the most improtant area though is the fragile back 4 of QPR. It is crucial that we let them have it up front. We have to play high up the pitch and put their defenders under constant pressure, closing down the full backs. Having said on a previous link that Ruiz should start, I now think that we would be better off with Duff and Demps on the wings, with Duff the more agressive player. Pogrebnyak will hopefully relish the opportunity against Gabbidon and Ferdinand. If he can position himself on Gabbidon, then the goals should come.

I hope that this game lives upto the potential it has for being a cracker and that once again we come out as winners, a local derby played in the right combative way, with both sets of fans enjoying the day and behaving themselves.

Good analysis froggy, I take your point about their defence - Young who has been one of their few half decent fullbacks is out, so they may have to play Hill or Hall and swap things around to cover. Definitely a pressure point.

Decided to throw a cheeky £10 against us with bet365, QPR win or draw and I get the price of two pints back to draw the sorrows.

Is that a cheeky bet or a treacherous one, you turncoat! If you win the bet those two pints will probably stick in your throat. Hope you lose you money on this one, Bandy. Best of luck with future bets though - especially if you put your money on us another time.

I bet Bandit meant "throw away" a cheeky £10... If not and you win I bet these pints are going to be very sour....

Hughes not happy with Jol's attempt to cup his head when they were shaking hands. To be fair it is a fairly dominant gesture, but then it reflects the two legs between us this season.
