You've also got to take into consideration loss of income, the FA Cup is run by the Football Association and a percentage of the gate money goes to them, this money is also used to help finance the England Team.

Premiership Matches & Championship & Football League Matches are also run by different organisations. It may be possible to use the double up idea when related to League matches & League Cup Matches (This may also help to solve the problems of the small crowds at League Cup Matches)

I'm sure that League clubs would not vote for Double Up games even though they complain about playing too many games.

Enjoy the Muppets - It's been several years since I've been to Jersey but I do love the island.

If anyone is a times reader I would suggest avoiding page 4 of the sport section. Did not need to see a huge article about Malky ..... spoilt my morning

He has yet to have a season where the team maintained a consistent pace over the distance, and this season is rapidly going the same way as his previous two. Should he turn that around one day, then he will deserve high quality journalists writing features about his prowess.

We may lose some snow today. 2C and a south wind. The air is damp and we could have rain or more snow but the weather office says sun and clouds.

D good luck with your presentation for a job. I have problem with this but I suppose it is the same as doing a test to prove you can do the work, like I did for my job. Guiding. Make it simple clear and easy to get information from. There is nothing worse than a display of information you have to fight to see what is there.

Morning all. I hate these 3 or so hours before i leave for Watford. Its that excitement before the match, but i can do nothing about it! Im like a kid on christmas. I will be leaving in half an hour or so to get to the ground for 1-1:30.

The weather is good up here, but as i learned before it could all change as i drive down. Its the Step Dad's birthday today and i am already getting stick for the fact i chose Watford over that. But as i pointed out, he is working all day so i would not see him anyway!

    COYH!!!

Morning all from Gloucester, up with the larks much to my dismay into Tescos at 0830 on a Saturday morning has its benefits but not not much. Into town picked up my holiday flight tickets<party>, bought some grass seed to do some damage repair on my lawn in the back garden. Even found time to make some white chocolate brownies, just waiting for my chicken to cook then they will be going in the oven;) Just how domesticated am I? even tidied the house up as well, washing machine going. I think I need to have a lay down before the match<laugh> Then onto 3 night shifts:(

Heres to 3 points this afternoon<cheers>

Morning all - just waiting for the battle bus to pick me up for the short trip to The Vic. Surprisingly I have a clear head this morning!

My mates son scored for England U20's against Wales last night - great to see someone who you have known since he was a baby score for your country. He has a promising future ahead of him!

Will you all support Liverpool with no ex-Golden Boys as a rich English team who are trying to buy some success or Cardiff City who have enticed former-Watford manager Malky Mackay and his expensive not English team with former Watford transfer targets and the entire former-Hornets coaching staff, apart from ex-Hornet Don Cowie who was free (I read Frank Smith in the WOb football section).

Think I am alive and well. Already the day has not quite been as expected. Daughter opened the French bank accounts last time they were over. Notified by said bank that cards and cheque book were ready for collection. Arrived back last night, went to collect items this morning. Cheque book has been destroyed by them because they had not collected it within three weeks. At least the cards were available. It is these little differences that keep you on your toes.

I am now working on how to send them out for the afternoon so that I will be around at 4.00pm my time. Cannot give them a euro each and tell them to go out on the town as there is no town within a distance.

I'm not saying this to be flippant or attempt to take away from Cardiff's day, but I've genuinely hardly heard a thing about the Carling Cup final this year.

Right I'm off to the match. COYH!!!

French banks are a nightmare... I was surprised when you orginally said how smoothly it went! Just don't try to close it!!! Although having said that, English banks aren't much better... What time did they get to you in the end? Sounds like a bit of a nightmare journey for them.

Time for tea and carrot cake I think! Not sure I like the sound of the white chocolate brownies - brownies are brownies! But then again I'm not overly keen on white chocolate, but if it's all thats left i'll eat it!

Not bothered about the Carling cup, just want the hornets to get a good result!

They arrived at 9.30pm Betty, totally shattered, but apart from the four year old they tucked into a hearty meal.

at least they had something nice to eat when they arrived. nothing worse than travelling all day and then having to think about finding something to eat.
