Carroll would definitely be absolutely last on my list, behind Reina.

Hasn't Shelvey left us on loan? Enricky is very likely to be on a pitch so I would most definately save him for last...he isn't exactly a natural goalscorer.

DDDDD (OP), whyve you got henderson so far down, he takes quite a lot of set pieces, especially for u21s so he cant be awful. However i havent actually seen him take a pen so i mihgt be wrong there

    Gerrard
    Dalglish!
    Kuyt
    Adam
    Bellamy
    Suarez
    Agger
    Downing
    Henderson

Impossible to give a list as after 120 minutes 3 subs would of been used so the lists are clearly hypothetical.

I can imagine Reina hitting a pretty neat penalty actually.

    For me:

    Gerrard
    Kuyt
    Adam
    Carragher (if on)
    Bellamy

Skrtel has a good shot on him, as does Agger. Carragher takes a neat penalty.

  12. Didn't Downing take of few for Villa...? I would put Suarez ahead of Agger and, if on the pitch, I would have Carragher fairly high up too.

I hope we get the job done in 90 minutes, but if it does go to penalties, this would be my order of takers:

    Gerrard
    Kuyt
    Adam
    Bellamy
Agger(could do a Riise and just blast it down the middle)

    Then if sudden death needed:
    Suarez
    Downing
    Carragher (if on the pitch)

Then the rest of the line can pick itself as you're down to the defenders and keeper.

  15. If your looking for an out and out blast, why not look in Andy Carroll's direction? No one at the club can strike a ball harder than him!

'If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just pop it in the net and we'll discuss your options afterwards.' - Bill Shankly

Gerrez - you got this wrong it's a Paisley quote - "If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later."

Why would you want Gerrard first?

Surely you would want him 3-5th? no?

What you have to think about though, it how it works in a shoot-out.
You don't want your 5th best taker stepping up for the last one, needing to score (especially considering our luck this season) and missing.

I'd say you'd do this order:

    3rd best - Adam
    5th - Agger
    4th - Bellamy
    2nd - Kuyt
    1st - Gerrard

The pressure increases as each penalty is taken, depending on what's gone on. The first and second takers are under least pressure, because even if they miss there's still a decent chance of winning the shoot-out.
Obviously the order is subject to change according to how it pans out, but I'd want Gerrard taking the 5th and needing to score rather than Agger or Suarez.
If they miss 2 of their first 3 and we just need another to seal it, then Gerrard would take the 4th.
