I don't think any Liverpool fan thinks this. We all know that if we don't turn up on Sunday, we'll lose. We'll need to be on top of our game if we are to lift the Carling Cup. Let's hope for a great final! (And a Liverpool win! )
Excuses? Our team cost about £5m if that. Your front 2 cost about £55m. If we lose its because your players are better than ours. But it would be even better winding up the plastic Liverpool fans round our area up if we beat you with a weakened team.
We've been nailed on favourites in cup finals before and been beaten so take a look at the comment by Chris. We know we'll have to be on top of our game to win,and having been at Wembley when Wimbledon beat us i never take things for granted in footy.
Well I'm not a fan of "big name" signings with big price tags. I fondly remember Liverpool players coming from clubs like Scunthorpe and Brighton. I don't think there is much between a £5M frontline and a £55M frontline, if both are trying as hard as they can. Some players have brilliant footballing brains, like Suarez, while other players, as long as they do what their manager tells them to and don't loose concentration, can achieve just as much in a game. So just because one of our players cost just as much as Cardiff's whole team, does not make me think this will be a walk in the park. Saying that, I think we'll wipe the floor with them! 4-0 Liverpool ;-)...What??
Let's face it Cardiff are a small club with limited resources. But if they want to play in the big boys game then they have to accept that they are going to have to play quality teams. No use bleating about your forward line cost more than our entire team. Either live with it or improve so that you might be able to afford better players!

Jesus Guys!! There are worse things going on in the world! Lets all calm down and have some light-hearted banter on here. I'm a Cardiff fan, but I'm also no mug - Liverpool are of course massive favourites to win it, they are one of the biggest teams in Britain, and Europe, and have incredibly high-quality players, the likes of Craig, Suarez, Kuyt, Carrol, Gerrard, Skrtel etc. Who are we kidding to say we should win this, we shouldn't, but I bloody hope that we do. (No offence intended 'Pool fans). Unfortunately, the Bluebirds have hit a little sticky patch of form in the League, but I'm hoping that we won't let that affect us. We have one hell of a manager who should be able to fire our boys up. My prediction is that Liverpool will win 4-1, they will go 2-1 up and as we push for a goal they will nick a few. HOWEVER, it could well be that Cardiff win this, we aren't a rubbish team. I hope everyone enjoys the game and has a great time... 'MON YOU BLUUBIRDS!
