For me, just one healthy conclusion to this mess. Gaydemak & Chainrai don't get anymore money back, the club starts to rebuild. Be dreadful losing them forever, as we've just got into a position, & I smell another 45 years of superiority is on the cards. Do you not read the above comments, the gloating, the celebrating the carelessness to our fate shown by Pompey fans and think... these are the same people asking for our sympathy now. Why should we show any remorse?
I personally think they have cheated the authorities, businesses and leagues over the past few years. But what can you do? The FL aren't interested anymore, probs no further deductions and they will most likely stay up and survive. Can't do anything about it.
I do not think it is healthy to define yourself by your hatred of another club. What or who do you mean when you say we should hate Pompey? The fans supporting the team from their birthplace? The children who follow the team their Dad does? The staff in the offices who now fear for their jobs at a time of economic trauma? The players, who are really just guns for hire and have little if any local allegiance? Or maybe you are using the reactions of a few lads " giving it large" perhaps after a glass or two, to suggest that we should have no sympathy for the fans as their club self-destructs? No thanks. The club have had this coming due to the total incompetence and worse of those responsible for running it. Most Pompey fans would not disagree, I reckon. But I am not sure what the target of your bitterness is. If its everyone who has ever support Pompey, then I think you need to narrow the target a bit.

Don't think he's [CF] too far off the head of the nail, myself. You'll find that Saints supporters on this forum, who love their own club rather than hate another, are in the majority. Now, I'm the last one to cry Sheep, but if you think we all think this way because we have a flock/herd like mentality, then you're quite mistaken. We independently prefer to love our club rather than hate another. It's what true support is about. As for the attitude of... they did it to us, so why shouldn't we do it to them..? Most of us left that misled behaviour before we even reached the playground.
The whole argument of justifying your glee at their suffering by saying "they laughed at us" is pathetic. This is how situations like the troubles in Northern Ireland develop, you focus on the worst behaviour of a few from the opposite side and attribute that quality to them all, and that then allows you to justify behaving in an even more inhuman way towards them, ending up in a vicious circle that doesn't help anybody.
Well spoken. What is it about the beautiful game that brings out the worst in some people? I guess it,s the herd mentality - people can hide behind others in the crowd. If the bile that isa displayed by some people on this site (and the Pompey site) is typical of the way a lot of people think today, then as a society we should be very worried. We may love it but - IT,S A GAME! Try thinking of those who would love to be able to walk to a game, are bedridden, disabled, in a bad place through no fault of their own. Might just bring a bit of balance to your sad lives.
