as others have said, you have only over taken us for now, when you do it season in, and season out, then come back to us. As Wenger said, we have ended above you for the past 15 seasons, you do know how to count right? So when you achieve something even close to that, then you can start opening your big mouth, oh, and not only should you finish above us for 15 season in a row, add some major trophies between that time frame too and make history. And for all your 'improvements' in the past 3-4 seasons, we have ended above you on each one of them barring this one which isn't even over yet so who knows what will still happen, but assuming you do end above us, this is the first time in 15 seasons, doesn't really prove much, back in 2005 Everton ended up above Liverpool, did that establish Everton as the new power house in Liverpool?
You guys have to remember that spuds have been bleating about their fantastic success since 1961 , so finishing above arsenal for once is bound to induce orgasms. Cant wait for the DVD . bless em . Bitter, I just spoke FACTS, and telling by your response you agree too as you have no response. Know your place Spuds, you haven't done ANYTHING special yet, funny, you think your so good all of a sudden for doing something we have done for 15 seasons in a row? Yes, 15, can you count? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15, FIFTEEN. Not to mention in that time we have won leagues, cups, and you name it. So again, KNOW YOUR PLACE before you think your now the new hot shot in town. What's even more funny is that even after our terrible season, and one of your best seasons, we might still end up in the top 4.
our club doesnt revolve around yours..it just happens that you are our 'rivals'...we have been improving for a good 4 years whilst you have been declining and dont seem to be stopping anytime soon that is the bottom line..wether we finish above you or not is just a side note as it is like finishing above or below Newcastle..so long as we are improving as a team compared to what we have been...can you say that?

Don't support Arsenal or Tottenham or any PL team but do like to read various forums/threads and just thought i'd point out finishing 4th and then 5th the following season is not improving as it is a lower finishing position than you achieved the previous season.
I don't disagree that you have been improving, but what's the point of saying that, if that improvement for the majority of the time has not affected us? POINTLESS, you're obviously trying to make some statement with that...As for us, we have been up and down, in 2008 although we came short in winning trophies, we made MAJOR improvements from 2006 and 2007, in 2009 we regressed, and in 2010 we once again improved on 2009, and last season we also improved a lot from 2010 and were close to winning trophies, and this season, we failed to build on from last season and so have regressed. so NO, it's not been all regression and going backwards for Arsenal, our main problem has been failure to BUILD on improvements we have made, like in 2008, and 2011. So yes, I can say the very same, but I know you don't really remember what happens in past seasons and think its ALL BAD because the press simply says so and you knowing nothing much simply tag along with it, so obviously you wouldn't know such things, such as in 2008 how strong Arsenal were, only losing 3 league games, and ending 4 points behind champions Manunited, and in 2011 unluckily losing in a cup final which hurt us in the rest of the season as we were very close to the top of the table, and a magnificent victory over Barca only to lose in very unfortunate circumstance with a none red card that eventually killed the game when we were 1-1, and on it goes. So I repeat, it's not been all regression, and having said all of that, even in the past 5 years when you have been 'improving' we have still been better than you come end of season.
Based on last 5 seasons: 2006/2007 Arsenal 4th Spurs 5th 2007/2008 Arsenal 3rd Spurs 11th 2008/2009 Arsenal 4th Spurs 8th 2009/2010 Arsenal 3rd Spurs 4th 2010/2011 Arsenal 4th Spurs 5th All it says to me is how inconstistent Spurs have been and how consistent Arsenal have been, not good, but consistent nonetheless. In other words we are no worse now than we were in 2006, except of course that we lost many players and have replaced them with adequate replacements. So what will happen to Spurs if their quality players left? Would they have the money to buy new players of a similar quality? Would they be able to compete at the top level, in CL and the other cup competitions? How would they cope without their inspirational manager? These are all likely scenarios. Arsenal have competed at the top level for many years now unlike Spurs. That is all.
