He was always billed as an assists man; he arguably got the best out of BWP for us (but when in a goalscoring chance always looked nervous). I think you'll like him!

The Doc has no pace. His main strength is his face scares defenders.

Unless there is something we don't know, this is a disgraceful decision. Hayes is a very good alternative who has been treated badly. if he is miffed and tweeted to that effect then I really don't blame him. Sad day. This has not been a good week for our club so far. Not happy. We are now stuck with Clarke who is a total donkey.

Very bad mistake to let Hayes go IMO, and we haven't been very clever in how this player has been treated, either.

Good luck to The Doc, and God help the Wycombe defence - mind you, he could surprise us all - look at what McOxo's doing at Swindon...

The Paul Hayes issue has been rumbling on for some time now and has been so especially because of our inability to score from open play, CP himself said recently in answer to a question that Hayes would be an integral part of the rest of our season. Our strike force have their work to do to vindicate CP's judgement.

Very dissappointedto see Hayes go out on loan. cannot for the life of me see what clarke offers that hayes isn't better at in every area. doc will probably do extremely well for Wycombe and i wish him well, he didnt suit the needs of cp but will do a job for the chairboys. Presumably as loan players they will not be allowed to be fielded against us on 21 april. That could be a banana skin for cp

Right I have waited for a few hours since I first read this. Becasue I didn't want it to sound like a knee jerk reaction.

For the first time in SCP's tenyear I am out of my box. Last season I think the club were in a false league place when he took over so I don't really blame him for they way they fell away. BUT this is has made me livid. Giving benson away was onething but putting Clarke on a pedistall as our 3rd choice striker is insaine!

IMO Paul Hayes is AT LEAST Charlton's 3rd choice striker. To put him in the same breath as that donkey Clarke is out of order.

Give Clarke time? In SCP we trust? On this one he is plain wrong, I can see it, every poster before me can see it. If this is about ego or him flexing some displianry muscle, fair enough, but tell us. We are not stupid!

Coupled with our recsent bad form I am starting to think maybe he was lucky with the way the team gelled, maybe someone else brought the players for him? We all said someone else signed Alonso, maybe he was the only one Powell signed?

    I am so angury!

On Doc? Good ridence, it's an insulte to WWFC to send him there!

A big, succulent Victoria, Rocky. <ok>

Could be it's just the move he needs - I always thought McOxo was one of the worst players I'd ever seen at the club - Paulo converts him to a CB (probably the smallest one in League Two) and bingo, they virtually stop shipping goals and he even scores one or two and sets Benno up for a couple. Very strange.

It is clear to me that our poor form started when Jeff Vetere left us. It is obvious he was the one signing players (except for Alonso), picking the team, deciding the tactics, giving the half-time pep talk and making the goalie hot Bovril on cold days. Real Madrid don't employ duds.

I have reliable information that Powell's management skills are limited to writing the player's names on 5 x 3 filing cards and throwing them in the air. He then picks the eleven players which land nearest to the centre of his desk as far as possible in the configuration they landed. Which explains the team against Rochdale. Any cards which miss the desk and fall on the floor, the player gets transferred, which is why Hayes has gone to Wycombe.

He never tweeted that. Not that I saw, he tweeted he was peed off and if I was in his position I would be too!

    Guys,

We all make mistakes regarding tweets and in the heat of the moment he tweeted about being pee'd off, not once did I see Jacko tell him to calm down. Hey I may of missed a tweet from Jacko but I doubt the skipper would have done it publicly anyway, he has more sense than that. And as he tweeted before kick-off and promptly deleted I doubt he would have done.

Anyway, from what I've heard he has remained professional at all times and been working hard. There is no truth about any behind the scenes 'issues' this is purely a footballing decision by CP.

I think you know what point I was making, yes Chris has done a fantastic job so far, but this just smacks of madness!

Agree with Glovepup, Hayes never tweeted that. He did tweet that he was pissed off but no specifics!

Whether he did or didn't tweet specifics, he's still a player that should not have even let go. However who are we to argue with Chris Powell? He sees him and Clarke daily. I do think that we will see Wycombe potentially survive the drop now. Hayes will be back, but if we get promoted, will Hayes be kept on? Not so sure now...

He tweeted "so pissed off". Think JJ did say something, but not in a way that was telling him off. I could understand his frustration,, I'd be livid if my manager rates Leon Clarke a better player. I'd retire.

Good luck to him. Very, very disappointed by this move as he seemed to slowly be creeping back in to the fold.

Hayes bagged two goals and the Doc claimed another in a 5-0 win for Wycombe (typical)...

I said it at the start of the season though that Hayes hadnt been brought in to score goals yet still everyone got frustrated with him and demanded Kermit start ahead of him

Well look what happens when you get your wish
