Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game.
This is here to replace the match day thread and the Starting Line up Prediction, this is where you will now be able to post all your team predictions and score updates. You can now just spend your match day in one place if you are not at the game.

This is the thread for the upcoming game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game,
You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be.
If you wish you can post updates freely about the game and chat between yourselves, you are also free to talk about other games bizarre or not.
This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition
After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands.

This is here permanently so you will not see the Match day thread or the starting line up prediction threads as this is them combined.

Grumpy - Weston of old - yes, but he has failed too many times to live up to reasonable expectations ( oh that I wish he would.)
I don't think Spiller is fully fit to start - so your selection is probably what will start - we really need the midfield to start to be properly creative.
If our performances continue to underachieve I will be in serious danger of having too much money for too few ( 3 ) matches to watch.

That was just my thoughts for a starting line up, Hess will start with the same team as Tuesday with both of the Lee's on the bench.

Grumpy - that's what I heard about the start up tomorrow - There was long periods on Tuesday when I forgot Weston was on the pitch. We've all seen him play well in the past - what's gone wrong ? ( excepting a few glimpses - which proves that he still can !)

I am going for this little change which I hope Hess will make

    Gazza

    Evans Essam King Jackman

    Whelpdale Payne C.Lee

    Tomlin Kedwell Kuffour

    Subs
    Hawkes
    Richards
    Spiller
    Weston
    O.Lee

I hope that we will see Spiller back on the bench as I would like to see him back in the team as he works hard and also gets some goals, something the midfield has lacked overall this season except in the first 20 games from Whelpdale.

My starting line up would be with a slightly different formation (352) so no chance of it happening

    Gazza

    King (c), Essam, Richards

    Evans, Payne, Jackman
    Whelpdale, C. Lee

    Tomlin, Kuffour

    Subs:
    Hawkes
    Lawrence
    Spiller
    O. Lee
    Kedwell

What a game 2-0 King and Kedwell so happy for them both as it has been a while for Keds and also for King to get a goal is even better, just to see him back makes me happy as he is such a legend in my eyes.

At long last a win! Well done to Keds for scoring his first league goal this year. Hopefully that will give him the confidence to score more in the next few games. Also that's two clean sheets in a row. Another one against Hereford on Tuesday, will make it three in a row, something we haven't achieved in the league this season.

Hess said about talking to King over the weekend to see if he will be able to play Tuesday, hope he does, but we don't want to put too much pressure on him as we don't want any more injuries, he is the man who has changed this for us as he always made us strong at the back when we had him there before.

The last two games has reignited my faith for this season, therefore really disappointed and feel a bit gutted that I have got to miss my first home league game of the season on Tuesday.

I think you will miss a good one, I think I might go and get my ticket on Monday as I think we will have a few goals to shout about, well I hope we do. 2-0 I go for again, but maybe more.

Don't plan any holiday at the end of May just yet !
A much better performance today. The back line were as good as on Tuesday - superb last ditch tackle by Essam on Howe. Essam is resembling a younger King ! He appears to be very comfortable with ball at his feet. The whole team played well ( and credit to Torquay - who made it a good game to watch ) - even Weston had one of his better games. It was right to bring on Charlie Lee for Weston - to add more strength in midfield. Tomlin's work rate was awesome. The only thing I was undecided about was the wide position of Kedwell - although he won many headers and did quite well to direct them to the other forwards. He deserves praise for keeping a cool head whilst waiting to take the penalty - with the delay caused by the confusion of the referee sending off the wrong player.
There's no reason why Gills can't go on a run that secures a play off spot - a couple of years ago, when we got relegated, in the 2nd half of that season we went on a run that would have seen us promoted if it had begun at the start of that season. 3 points on Tuesday would put us ' only ' 3 points behind the play off places - with plenty of games left !

Haven't been over here for a while (I think you'll understand I have been occupied with Saints this season:cheesy:). Congrats on result today. Hope it starts a late push for play offs. All best for rest of season.

He'd only moan that we didn't score more or that Hass should have rung the changes earlier.
Yes, Hess has made errors.....he is a human being but ONLY being the paid manager does put him at a disadvantage compared to Lenny.........
